il first explain my setup
-air preset 68/4500 at 450 psi (verified with mano)
-biggest of the three wdp volumizers installed
-only one shim in the lpr
and my lpr pressure is stil at 95-98 psi :blue:
Why the f*** cant i get it down???
is there something im missing here or maybe a problem with one of the markerparts??? :lifeaway:
hope u guys can help me

Every lpr is slightly different due to manufacturing tolerances. It could be that the lpr is either blown or hasn't been broken in yet. What pressure is coming out of your minireg (180-220psi?)? Are you able to shoot 280-300fps no problem? The only things I can think of are maybe pull out the lpr, grease the main seal, and check the order of the spring stack. You might want to send it to a master tech to have tuned.

i dont hav a mano on my minireg :dunno: so i cant measure the outcome of it... but i have taken the lpr out once more and realized the main seal retainer whas slightly unscrewed ( couldnt see it with the bare eye, tried to screw it and it turned) wich droped the lp to +-75 psi (stil with 1 shim) wich is already alot better, stack order is ok
i thourght we could drop the lp to about 50-60 psi or am i dreaming?
what would the risk be if i leave out all shims? (drops the lp to 65 psi)
thanks for the help Crazy Train

There are no risks if you don't have any shims at all. 65psi seems to be the ideal lpr pressure with a dwell or 10 or 11. 50-60psi might be pushing it with your given lpr. My guess is that if you bought a new lpr, it might go lower, but it's a gamble.

 thanks again
gonna take the last shim out
not going to change the lp, think il buy the evolve newton valve kit next mont or the mont after, that thing seems more than what u can dream of for an angel
-less air consumption
-less ball breakage
-less kick

I've actually had a newton kit on my 03 speed since mid November. It's sweet but I haven't fine tuned it yet. Been playing with my JD Fly a lot lately.

are you sure that the "last" shim isnt actually several shims stuck together? they are VERY thin and like to stick together.

good call luzrd. Check and recount the shims again.

been there done that, there whas only one shim (made meself the same reflection) and i have tried to screm and unscrew the minireg velosity screw, no difference in pressure, or do u mean an other one (than the velosity screw)?
So, what are ur impressions on the newton valve? Is it as good as they say? (would really like to drop the kick, would really improve accurancy a lot)

It definitely reduced kick after I installed and semi-tuned it. I've been so caught up using my JD Fly that I haven't fine tuned my speed's lpr below 60psi yet. I can however, stick my finger down the breech and the bolt just bounces off and resets. I just wish that the volumizer in the kit wasn't so long. Everything is top notch quality. I'm sure that once I fine tune and break it in, I can get to around 40-45 psi with virtually no kick and much higher gas efficiency.

How do i mesure the lpr output?
Guessing i need to add a manometer somewhere.

You need an angel tool kit. It comes with an lpr gauge and lpr and ram extractor.
