Did you add the extra shims to get the LPR to 100psi before installing the LPR cap?

i did but then i couldnt get the LPR below 80 PSI

If I remember correctly, you're suppose to set the lpr to stock settings (82 psi). I have not been able to run efficiently at 40 psi. I'm still cruising in the 50-60psi range. It'll be a while before I get a chance to fine tune my gun again.

From there you can adjust the LPR CAp to whatever pressure runs best for your set-up.

I got my kit at Commander's Cup and the instructions say to set it to 82 psi. I guess they might have changed the instructions. I haven't had any problems adjusting the the lpr pressure to whatever I want. I just haven't fine tuned it yet.

i have my lpr around 50. they say before you can lower it any lower you really have to break the kit in

this confused me too, couldnt get it low so i took out the shim s i added. The realized you screw it IN to go down.

So i turned it down without putting those shims in and have MAJOR drop off, im running about the same settings you are. Tomorrow im headin to the shop, putting the shims back in, putting it back to 50psi and see what happens and ill post back.

Now i know that i'm not the only one who striped my gauge hole on my lpr cap :wall: i also managed to strip the screw that secures the hammer to the ram rod. :yikes: I have set my lpr upto 80 and i still get drop off :dunno: I will be contacting evlove when they get back in i guess.

hey all
I had similar problems with my LPR but that was due to the fact that I din't have enough shims to get my LPR up to 100psi.
I just set the LPR the original way to 45psi,
8 dwell. Not putting on the adjustable LPR cap, just using the endplugs.
And then fired about 3 tanks (68/45) dry fireing on demo mode trough it. Springs of the valve need to set a little, found them stiffer then the original valvespring.
No probs at all no drop off, consistent, no kick and still got my fingers after putting them in the breech :)

ok, fixed my prob, heres what I did. (for people with lack of shims....)

I added back the 2 shims i had taken out when i couldnt get my LPR less than 100 (turning lpr wrong way), and shot some paint, was still dropping off but not as bad. Couldnt scrounge up any more shims, so i moved my dwell from 8, to 9. Put lpr from 45psi to 50psi, and backed my inline out, gassed it up and i couldnt believe it. My TR was only on 4, didnt check the counter but i know it was blazing well over 16 or 17bps.

Effieciency was great, the only thing i wasnt too impressed with was the kick, single shots werent too bad, but wasnt too different from stock. Im sure i could work on some things and help it, but its shooting fine right now and ill let it break in.

VERY good investment!

Not trying to start anything, I'm just curious about your thoughts on the kit, if you are running at 50 psi and are still noticing kick, how is it a good investment? What changed about the performance of the gun? You can run 50 psi no problem stock, are you just impressed by the low dwell at 50 psi? I'm just curious since I'm looking at purchasing the kit and you seem very satisfied with it. Thanks in advance.

Good question.

first, now that I have enough shims, I am able to run my Lpr in the 40-45 range. Those few extra pounds took out a little more recoil, and I barely had to touch my inline.

I dont blame your for asking, if I spend 155 on one upgrade, I want it to be worth while too.

-better effiecency
-eaiser on paint
-faster/smoother cycling time from lower dwell (I can tell its faster at lower TR's, at least for my gun anyways.)
-less recoil, steadier shot
-easier adjustment of your LPR
-fine tuning for blowback/valve tension

may not be worth the cash to some, but I just happened to have alittle extra, so made the purchase. In my opinion, for angels not having many upgrades at all, this was worth it.
