CUTTER4320: You didnt happen to play Saturday (01.11.03) did you? I was suppose to play with the UW Platteville team, but I ended up going to Chicago for work.

I played a couple 3mans at Apoc this last summer. Great fields and Dave is the shiznit. I think the atmosphere is a lot better than Stalker, but it too far to play (another hour or so from my house) and it a lot more expensive. Tournaments arent that bad, you kinda come to expect the paint price to be jacked up, but it is a little much for rec and practice I think.

Let me know if you are planning on playing anytime soon and I will try to hook something up.

Nope haven't been out this year. I usually take the winter off to recover from the money drain of the last season. Apocalypse isn't all that expesnive if you do a season pass. I don't buy paint there either. I'm not gonna be able to play for a while. I have to send my stupid new IR3 off for a new board. I haven't even played with it yet and it's allready broke. I played a couple three mans at the amature level to get my little bro into the swing of paintball. I don't have a team this year so I guess it'll have to be newbie heaven.

I'm gonna try going out in a couple weeks when I get my gun back.

I'm here too. Just became an angel owner. Usually play at stalker. Play at little bit a apoc. Played a couple of times at this new little field in SW WI. I probly know Syentific. I can rember a couple guys with a black LCD's. Which team did you play on?

I haven't even had my angel a week, but like it a lot. Can't wait to give 'er a try.

I play in leagues there, as a matter of fact just got done with getting my butt kicked. I used to be an indoor tennis club, they converted it for paintball. It's pretty nice and no more expensive than anywhere else in the area.

do you have to own an angel? :) bfg sucks, floor is slippery as hell, in the 2 times i've gone there to watch and 1 time i've played i have seen at least 4 hoppers broken when people bust their sh*t. not to mention the 2 people i have seen seriously injured, one hurt his hip, the other hurt dislocated his shoulder. the rules there are a joke, i believe in being safe and everything but they go overboard, the tourneys they hold are kinda iffy. pride and agd kids play there and pretty much mop up, cause all the other teams consist of 12 year olds with tricked tippmans and wicked spyders.... everyone has to start somewhere but its not that good of competition. as for myself, i play college tourneys and went down to cup last year, trying to start my own team with a few friends. we are looking for serious tourney players who can spend money, cause chances are we are not goin to pick up a sponsor right away. we are looking at playing the 5 major tourneys next year as rookie in super 7. if there is any interest. feel free to pm me.

I have to say that I am not a fan of bfg either, have not been there recently, competition is very ify, at least all of the times I have gone.

its sorta a sand/sawdust mix. its good for slidin. The only poblem is that it gets everywhere in your gun. It takes a while to clean!

Another Marshfielder here, shootin a 2k1 cnc. I play at Apocalypse for Flying Balls Demonic. Speaking of BFG, i;ve heard lots of negative things about the rules and regulations.

I've yet to play at Stalkers, and i wasnt able to come to the tournament there when it was raining hard and wet, with our team members BLOWINGpaintballs out their barrels like blowguns. lol, i would pay to see that.

Anyways, great practices at Apocalypse on most Sundays and i'm looking forward to play at Stalkers. Brand new grass this weekend for the air fields

the speed is a great gun....i had one, but traded for an ir3(but i am getting another speed). yes, there have ben problems with the sensi...but nothing major. Mine didnt work for a while, i just didnt use it for like a month and then it worked great!! You should come play with me at bfg sometime....

Sorry, had to miss that one. Most importantly, the 28th was my wife's birthday. On top of that, I had to run back down to Dedicated on the 27th and have my Angel "fine tuned". Seems the spring pack in the minireg was improperly installed. Guess that explains my "couldn't get it above 210fps" problems last weekend. I'll have to catch you guys some other time.

Hey, I remember you! Actually, that meeting was "responsible" for me getting sucked into buying my little gem. The trigger was nice to the point that I just had to get one myself. I got it about three weeks ago, and I'm planning on (maybe, all other obligations pending) hitting Apoc this coming weekend to do a proper shakedown run.
Still have the Rainmaker, but I'm thinking my son's going to get most of the field time with that one. Just have to wait for my other tank to get back from hydro. The Angel came with a 68/45 Armageddon that badly needed to be tested.
EDIT - That didn't last long... I had been transfered to Marshfield, but it didn't pan out. You can get in touch with me through my site. Maybe we'll run into each other at Apoc sometime!

2. What kinds of indoor flooring have you played on that you think are the best?

X, I'd take a look at Dedicated in Madison for a well-built indoor field. Beats the heck out of the plan I'd had a couple years ago. They brought in something like 28 truck loads of dirt to cover the floor. It's well packed, really pretty similar to playing outside. Nice big airball setup, plus the "village" field. Both fields play well, and the people there are about as good as it gets. Well worth a look!

By the way, for the Marshfield guys, I'm back in town. Twists of fate and all, I'm working for Badger Title these days. We should maybe see about an Angel Owners Lunch sometime. :)

Hey, Pump!

People whine too much about BFG. It certainly isn't the greatest, but c'mon.

Yes, the safety regulations are harsh, but if you paid attention during you have no excuse, and it is very hard these days to complain about somebody being TOO safe.

The play level isn't that high, but that's true of all the Milwaukee-area fields. You have to go to Apocalypse to find better play. So you play with the rookies for a while - it's good for you.

Yes, the floor is gross, but what indoor place isn't? It sure is a lot cleaner than Paintball Dave's basement...

The people are reasonably nice, the field is big, and the prices are fair. And it's not like you have a lot of choice anyway.

I play there semi-regularly, and usually have a good time.

no, last time I was there it was not as big as Apoc. It does have hyperball and speed ball fields though unless you are looking for woods ball, and they have an extremely large "city" built too.
