First off I would like to thank everyone for all the useful information I have recieved from this site about my LED in just the past few days.

I purchased my LED over 5 years ago and did the following upgrades at that time. volumizer, lightning bolt,LPR, and tornado valve all made by AKALMP. I had my local shop put these items in when they first came out on the market. After installing these items and taking the gun back many times I gave up on the gun (The gun would constantly leak air out of the breech. They would always tell me they fixed it and tell me it was some different o-ring) Now 5 years later after digging it out of my closet hoping that they can fix it NOW I take it up there and they call me back saying that the RAM seal is bad and I have to buy an entire new RAM for 100$. Does this sound correct? Mind you this is the same guy who worked on my gun over 5 years ago. If so where could I purchase a RAM to replace this one and which RAM would you recommend. I have used this gun a total of no more than 10 times and then let it sit for 5 years so any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to check with angelparts.com. I think that they used to handle AKA stuff. Your air leak out of the breach sounds like your valve was not seating properly. I know if you put a Tornado valve in a Autococker you were supposed to hook a 20oz tank up to the asa and let it sit over night, the material the valve seat is made out of is very hard, thats why the valve is warrented for life. If you want to stick with the AKA valve, give them a call they have a website, maybe they can help you. You might also check with one of the sponsors like angleparts.com maybe they can help you.

Later Bonk

I would not buy a new Ram. I highly recommend that you send it in to any of the master techs and have them do a complete run through of the gun. They will be able to fix any problems and let you know if you need any new parts. If the guy couldn't fix it 5-years ago, I doubt he will be able to now....

Well my brother has an lcd very similar to mine. Is the ram interchangeable? If so I could just swap em and troubleshoot from there. When I went to pick up the gun he mentioned the valve cup seal was bad or something. Sound familar, common, or possible? Very skeptical and will probably end up sending the gun to a master tech but not until after this winter break :)

Last question for a while I promise :p - will one of the newer maxflo regs w/ built on tank 4500 (low pressure) work with my angel seeing as it has the lowpressure internals? I also upgraded from the microline up to the little bit larger size (still not as big as my friends impule line) - any opinions about micro vs macroline would be very helpful.

Thanks everyone for your help again!

Yeah the ram's are interchangable. Yeah the valve cup seal or Exhaust valve is a common problem with most angels. Should only cost 7 bucks for a new one....

No you need to get a High pressure tank for the led. Even though you might supposedly have LP internals they wont nearly be like the LP guns today so you will still need an HP tank. As for micro and macro the way I look at it is the macro line is bigger which means more air flow so the conclusion I come to is that bigger is better in that sense. Yeah your buddy must have the old jumbo macro line stuff on his impy...lol I use nothing but macro line...the only time I ever had microline was on my phantom.

i put an evil valve in (POS) and i had the same problem.
heres what you do. put the stock valve back in. and put really thick oil/grease on the body of your ram. problem solved
