There are always questions on here about what upgrades, barrels, loaders, etc… people should get for their led. Below is a description of things you can do to upgrade your gun. Remember LED parts are kind of hard to find unless they are universal and will work on all angels.
Barrel:
For your angel to shoot at the top of its game I highly recommend a barrel kit. With a barrel kit you get a wide range of bore sizes which will help you get a good paint to barrel match. The reason that this is important is it will give you better air efficiency, better accuracy, and better performance out of your angel in general. Choices for a kit are SP Freak, Empire, J&J Edge, Evil Pipe, Stiffi Switch, etc… Choices are endless. Find something you think will look good on your gun, matches your style, and overall performs well for you and your gun. All barrels that are angel threaded will work.
Loader:
Angels were built for speed and they live up to that reputation. You will need a fast hopper to keep up with your gun. Halo B’s and Reloader B’s are excellent choices for your gun. Eggs will also do, depending on how fast you are able to shoot.
Tank:
You will want a high pressure tank or an adjustable tank for your angel led. For screw in tanks I would recommend getting a Crossfire tank. They are extremely reliable, built very well, and are worth every single penny. For an adjustable tank Angel Air’s work great but they can get a bit expensive. Nitro duck, Mac Dev, Centerflag and AGD also make great adjustable tanks.
Feedneck:
Most people don’t like the stock feedneck and elbow. Thus they change it out. Pretty much all feednecks do the same thing, they just look different. The only real difference is some are low rises, some are high rises, some are mid rises, and some are clamping. What seems to be really popular is the clamping low rise feednecks. These fit all hoppers so you don’t have to sand your hopper down or add tape. The low rise part gives you a lower profile thus making you a smaller target. All feednecks that are angel threaded will work.
Triggerframe/Trigger:
Most people don’t like the stock single trigger, so they either cut the guard off and replace it with an aftermarket double trigger guard (which are not made anymore and difficult to find) and put a double trigger in place of the single one. Any Angel LCD trigger will work on the led. So your choices are endless on the style or kind of trigger you want. Also some people don’t like to the single trigger, but they don’t want to cut their guard off and replace it. So you can get a double Triggerframe. The older AKA ones are extremely rare and hard to find and when you do find one they run about $100+. I know there was a company making a space frame for the led. I believe it was called the voltage frame. I am not sure if those are made anymore or not.
Ball Detent:
Many of the aftermarket ball detents are just for looks. Some are built really well and others tend to be a little cheaper. If you are looking for a good ball detent you want a stiffer one. The reason you want a stiffer one is because if you use a Halo B or Reloader B they are force fed hoppers and if your ball detent is too stiff you will double feed and be more likely to chop. I believe that all angel ball detents will work on the LED. (I am not positive about the Speed and A4 detents though)
Volms. (Low Pressure Chambers):
These are meant to hold extra air for you and help with recharge rate for when you fire fast. The only difference between volms. is looks. Find one or two that you like and will look good on your gun. Remember that only 1 is really needed the other one is for looks. The only place there is air is in left tube. The right tube is where the battery is. (This is if you are looking down the barrel of your gun.) All angel volms. will work.
Breech Knob:
This is only for looks on your gun. I recommend getting a metal one as the plastic ones seem to crack easily. All angel breech knobs will work.
Vertical Adapters (ASA's)
If you want to change out your current stock mini reg and replace it with any of the newer regs on the market you will need to purchase an American threaded ASA because your stock one is metric threaded. Also another option is a 15 degree ASA. This will put your regulater more forward which some people seem to like better. This will also be American threaded.
Regulator:
If your stock mini regulator is working fine and is consistent then stick with it. They are one of the best stock regulators on the market. If you decide to change then look into a Mac Dev Gladiator, AKA Sidewinder, AKA 2 Liter, or a CP reg. They are all great regulators and are very consistent.
Bolts:
The stock bolt is very good, and is probably the best stock bolt that comes with any gun. If you are looking to get a really nice bolt look into a New DeSIGNZ bolt. They are very efficient and are very consistent. Only bolts made for the LED will work. LCD, IR3, Speed, and A4 bolts will not work as they are to long.
Charger:
Only a charger for the LED will work. LCD, IR3, Speed, and A4 chargers will not work on the LED.
Grips:
Basically only for looks. Find something that looks good on your gun and are comfortable for you. You will need a 45 style grip unless you have a space frame.
Eyes and boards:
I made another thread about all the eye and board options that are available for the LED. It is located here:
