Hello every1, my gun setup is: Angel LCD pretty much stock internals, stock reg, Evil Angel Bolt, Kapp low rise, running an Air America Armaggeddon 45/45, Smart Parts Freak System, VL12volt, Twister Air chamber, macro line setup, shooting PMI balls. MROF is set @ 10, DWELL is set @ 16.

I played my 1st tournament yesterday & out of ~1/2 a case shot throughtout the night, I chopped pretty badly twice. I think basically my primary concern is not chopping ball over everything else. On the chrony my gun shoots pretty much +/- 3 bps which is pretty consistant, & just shoots pretty awesome when not chopping balls. I pretty much know when I'm chopping balls. I've found that w/ more experience & getting used to the angel I've gotten faster & shooting & can consistantly shoot @ 8bps. If I were to exceed it I'm chopping balls. In order to correct the problem this is what I'm thinking: Setting my dwell- 18, MROF -8, & gettin a high rise. I think the high rise will ultimately make the final difference whether i chop or not. Should I drop the 12volt for a Ricochet or even Halo?... based on our forums here, seems like Halo aint the way to go. In addition, as a safety I dont think it hurts to set my dwell @ 18 (any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated). Yet I'm a little hesitant of limited my MROF down to 8 which is basically where I'm shooting at pretty consistantly.. i'm basically hitting it when called upon. In need of some expert advice on this issue... I'm almost ready to trade this thing in for an IR3 just for the anti-chop sensor!!! Please be honest yet informative... I've played w/ the gun about 4 times & put about 2 cases in, everytime i went, I've always chopped on average once or twice.. is it me or the gun that could use some adjusting?

Oh! I was blind, sorry. I would say that has a lot to do with your chopping problem. You may have one of the revvies with a delay board. If it isn't that, your lpr could be too high, or maybe your ram i out of adjustment. Also, try setting your dwell back to 14.

The first thing any Angel owner should do in a problem area (assuming it is not terribly obvious) is look inside the gun and not at what you can add on.

Assuming that your gun (stock) is in perfect working order, then you can start looking at the peripherals.

Did you buy the gun brand new, or used? It should be working fine if you got it out of the box. If you bought it used, you might have a problem.

If you bought it used, you might have a couple of problems. Parts might be worn down, and may need to be replaced. Did the guy you bought from take good care of it? My best advice is to send it to one of the Sponser's here for service.

One of the 4 will fix your gun up. They do a very nice job with them.

set your dwell back to 14, adjust your ram, snap ring and you lpr. use atleast an AK loader or buy an evolution II. CHECK YOUR BALL DETENT! that was why mine would break paint. I run ricochet loaders on my angel and they seem to be able to keep up to 12 bps and sometimes short bursts that equeat to 14 to 15 bps. my lpr is at 90 psi and dwell is set at factory setting (14). with good paint to barrel match it is about +/- 2 fps with a cobra bolt.
also, remeber to check for burs in side of the breach at the feed neck junction.

Thanks for all the advice. I had gotten it used & i'm takin it to Ken @ Cape Cod Paintball to let him get a thorough run thro, so I can get down to the nitty gritty of the problem.

set your dwell at 14 and turn your mrof up to 16 and you will be ok even if using a 12volt revy if using a egg you could even set your mrof up to 18.

oh ya turning your dwell down will let you get more shoots out off your tank more dwell lets two much air out and wastes it.

yea, and if you have an Angel tool kit, adjust the snap ring with air! a lot of people think its ok to do it without air...it's not...and check how much pressure your LPR is pushing (should be around 95 to 110 or 115) mine is set at 95.
