To anyone interested in the ERA mod that Freeflow has to offer:

I have a million LP cocker regs and wanted the ERA mod, but didnt want to pay the $100.00 plus shipping to get it. I decided to call today for craps and laughs(§§§§s and giggles) and I was informed that if you do not wish to buy it with the accompanying Rock reg, you can buy it without for $40.00 + s/h.

I am going to try it out. Just thought I would drop this little stink nugget of info on you guys in case you wanted to check it out, but thought $100.00 was a little more than it is worth (IMO). of course.

Sorry, I was looking under:

http://www.professionalpaintball.com

and that site does not list it for sale without the Rock reg. The only difference was that I was quoted $40.00 today, not $49.00 listed on:

http://4freeflow.com

Thanks for the updated link though.

Any cocker LPR will fit on this adaptor, right?

Perhaps the mini-rock will be worth a shot now? If indeed any adaptor fits, it is smaller and from reviews seems to be built better.

WARPEDX: Yes, any cocker LP reg will do.

C.CARLES-AOG: Not a bad idea. I am going to try a Sonic reg from MACDEV. They are about the size of a volumizer and they flow pretty good.

I would recommend you run the gun around normal operating pressure of 85psi or so, despite what it's "supposed" to do. If you do run it lower make sure to readjust your gun to it.

I would use a microrock since they have the best track record of consistency and range of adjustment. I would stay away from the Sonic for it's lack thereof.

Thanks for the input. It is appreciated.

How do you know what the PSI is going into the gun fom the reg? Don't want to overpressurize

They make a guage you can put on the output of the rock reg, have to pick one of those up and adjust it.

For all other purposes, I dont think it would be all that hard to make an adapter that is female to female and threaded to accept a lp hose barb on one end and a 1/8 NPT thread on the other.

That way you can scale the output of any cocker lp reg, or anything that utilizes cocker lp hose.

Ya i made a LP Adapter, I used the Gauge that comes in the Angel Tool Kit, and took it off of the brass thing and and went to the hardware and bought a cap for it and went home and drilled and tapped a hole on the bottom for the LP Hose barb. Heres a Pic.

The quick disconnects are so I can test both a Normal Angel and a Autococker LPR, with the same gauge.

From the Freeflow site:

This is the only way to remove the horrible internal regulator found inside the Angel. This regulator adapter will give you better consistency, reliability, shot to shot repeatability, and accurracy.

Now, call me skeptical, but is the stock LP really that bad? If it was, you'd think WDP would change it. Cnd can this mod really do what it claims? I'd like to know how or the logic behind it.

Just wondering, how do you readjust your gun to it? simply by raising the dwell?

If you are running less pressure to the ram you may need to readjust your snap ring, so it isn't as tight. Also Propaintball recommends cleaning your solenoids for optimal flow and movement.

I know a few people who got this mod including myself, not one of them have kept it. I think it's good if you want to tinker around though.

Was it that you saw no optimal change in performance? Or was it hindering in some fashion?

Does it actually make the gun run lp?

My main pressure is 300psi.

So was it worth it or what?

For me yes, I have less kick, quieter, easier to adjust and no dropoff when going 19bps.

Anyone else?

I think as long as you are able to measure the the cycling pressure you shouldnt have too many problems...that is assuming you arent trying to run your Angel at 15psi or something like that.
