I know this is an angel forum but i need help with my new gun. My team is sponsored by empire now so i need to shoot a timmy. BUT.I know that the necks are thread to clamp the loader. but im asking is the actual neck press fitted in the body of the gun. or is it epoxied or wut. cus i have seen a few timmies that were the neck meets the body, there are no threads or anything :nervous:
I think they are held in by bubble gum and a prayer. I think that this is pretty bad that you are "sponsored" by Empire yet no nothing about the products you are supposed to support. How is someone like you beneficial for a sponsors (that being Empire) if you are looking on the competitors (that being WDP) website for technical support on a marker that has nothing to do with this site. You are a disgrace to your sponsor if in fact you are even sponsored by them.

its only a discount sponsorship, so dont flame me about it. chances are, im not even going to use a timmy. Really in my opinion, there isnt a marker out there that i really would call really good, fast maybe, but not really good (with the exeption of a viking). nobody on the intimidator web sites bothered to answer my question, so i ask here and get flamed, thats real nice. :samurai:

i'll agree that intimidators are POS, but i'll help you out here.
i believe on newer (2k4 ones) that the neck is threaded for a twist lock only....i may very well be wrong, but that's the way i've seen all of them. i've seen a few older (2k2) ones that accept different feednecks...but there's so many different models that i really can't say anything for sure

Ah the glorious 'discount' sponsorship. The one where you save a few kids in some money, still make a profit and make them spend more on your stuff. Someone should write an article on sponsorship and the different definitions (in paintball) it really means. The ones I've seen are threaded... they use to be press fitted.

I wasn't flaming you as I was only pointing out the obvious. A viking you consider really good, fast? Hell do they even make that marker anymore? (insert semi-flaming here) Your best bet would be ditch that team and sponsorship and use a WDP marker that been proven dominate this season.

They dont make the viking anymore because of SP sueing them and stuff....and the only gun I would ever use other than angels would be a viking...so dont flame them too much Hep...lol (Not trying to start anything with you...just giving my opinion) but anyway I think they are pressed into the timmy...I really should know since when I worked at my local shop there were always broken timmy's there...but I wouldnt go near them as they are POS...so I can't be positive on the pressed neck or anything. I had a deal sponsorship like that with NPS and they said we had to buy timmys and crap...well I said F that....and walked away from that team...no one is going to tell me I can't use my angel...

w00t! Rebel, angels 4life. sry, just had an urge to say that. Anyway, just try unscrewing the feedneck, if it doesnt unscrew then its either pressed in there or has some loctite. But im sure the feedneck will eventually break off, so u could just wait till then.
