I played in an all day scenario game with my 05 Speed. I shot a case of PMI premium without a single break. My brother's 05 Speed shot flawlessly as well. There were a ton of tournament players there and they were all asking me about my Speed. I uess they had all heard the RUMORS about them being choppers, because that is all they wanted to talk about. I get tired of hearing that rumor. I have yet to chop after 10 cases of paint. So, I thought I would post a positive spin on the SUPPOSED Speed's chopping problem. My Speed 05 shot ropes all day.

WE practiced FRiday night from 6 pm til 1230 am
I dumped over a case in mine also
after that basic ram adjustment I too had 0 issues
with my `05 speed

Had my speed for a little over a month now. Shot 4 cases of paint so far and only three chops. Those I will all blame on me. After starting the game I forgot to turn on the loader. Shot Inferno and Hellfire so far. A few barrel breaks but that is with the infinity barrel. I have a stiffi on order so I hope that will fix that. I ran my micrometer on the infinity barrel and with the mic vertical it read .691 and horizontal across the same opening it read .689. Guess the barrel is a little oblong. Can't say anything is wrong with the 05. Will probably upgrade to a new bolt and valve later as well as the laser eyes, but I see no problem right now.

I've had like a barrel break or two, in almost 4 cases. I chalk it up to the cool and dry weather up in PA and the practice paint we use. The effeciency of this gun is amazing. I think I used to get about 1200 shots to my 2003 LE LCD, this thing went through pods and pods worth of paint, without having to stop for air.

I love Angels. Through and through. I just hope my team never gets too good a deal where we are required to use a specific marker. That will be a bitter day indeed.

I've gotten an 8 percent increase in efficiency (by velocity) by going to the cobra bolt. Anyway, since I quit using my reloader, I've had no problems. I just shot 500 balls through mine for the first time with my Halo vic board on 6 (supposedly 35 bps max) and didn't chop, break, or anything, it was RIPPPPPPPPPPIN'

Ya, I mean I havent had any chops. Only barrel breaks, with paint that was 3 or 4 months old and had craters the size of texas. Honestly, I still dont know all this stuff about ram position, clicking, and all of that. I mean mine clicks sometimes, the sometimes it wont, then it will again.

Ok, hate to rain on everyone's parade, but I had just the OPPOSITE experience today! I had a break/chop just about every 20-50 balls or so!! Can't say if they are all barrel breaks as I had pink ooze coming out from the breech and by the plastic eye cover.

I too have adjusted the ram, but I'm thinking that the problem is with either the Halo B or my barrel. (I'll through a micrometer across the opening to see.)

Can't be the paint as I was using/tried new marbelizer, diablo formula 13 and Draxxus balls. Temp was not too bad 50deg.

I'm kinda bummed here as I spent big bucks and I can't get the speed to rip except in my back yard in short bursts.

I'll try to turn down the sensitivity on the Halo B and see if that helps. I also ordered a Stiffi and will see if that does anything to.

Any comments guys? Anything is appreciated.

match my paint, used the egg and the halo no issues

halo is all stock
speed is set to 4 lights for the loader
and thats the only settings i messed with on mine


we chrono 260 for indoor field rules
we also shoot blaze and drax...

when i first got mine it just oosed yellow goo out the barell.

ram adjustment and less chopps. but it still chopped

Hmmm, mine is also set for 4 lights. I also decreased the dwell on mine. I wonder if that could be a problem.

Also I wonder what effect temp has on paint. I'm going to try the winter balls next week and see if that makes a difference.

Then I adjust the ram ver aggressivly forward to where there is a lot of resistance when opening the breech door. Well that solved the chopping problem. No I have another huge problem. I am getting barrel breaks like it is my job. So I just ordered the Black Mamba Switch kit. God I am praying that this helps. I know that the opening is of the stock infiniti barrel is only .689 and the steps up to .691. I am hoping that the largest insert on the stiffi .691 and the barrel stepping to 695. will make a big difference in breaks. I am confident that it will but I just wish that Stiffi made a .693 insert. Does anyone know if they do?

Just out of curiousity, am I right in assuming that a chop will lead to paint oozing from the breech and a barrel break send out little pieces of ball and paint like a spray?

Also Gangsta how cold was it when you were shooting?

Today it was rainy and about mid 40's. IN FREAKIN SAN DIEGO!. JEEZ!
But yes when you have a barrel break you will see shells blowing out of your barrel and ooz dripping from out of your barrel as well, and comming through the porting of the barrel.

When you chop that is when paint seeps through the breech door cracks and up into the feed neck.

I just ordered my mamba switch kit tonight, and no, I didn't see a .695. You could go with a freak back and stif-tip front, if you're all about cutting down weight.

they had some boy scouts show up
we alternated with them
things went smooth

There will be probably a lot there friday night comming up as this weekend is REDZ weekend there with advanced classes from the RedZ factory team, so most play , practice will be friday evening
I will be there about 5 pm til close :)

then the 19th starts the 5 man winter league
the top team of 5 events gets 5 05 speeds :)

I'm not a big fan of smart parts either, but if you want a barrel has more ports than the opening of the barrel, you don't have any other choice, they hold the patent. Speaking of patents, where do you think wdp got the engineer that helped develop the electronic markers for them....that's right, smart parts. That's why smart parts and wdp SHARE the patent. Its also why no one but ICD has been sued. Smart parts can't sue without the consent of WDP. Honestly I really like smart parts products, I just disagree with their business tactics. They have too much control over too many tech developments.

Our team has no jerseys yet as we are awatimg a team decision and waiting for REDZ to get theirs back in
seems they are on backorder
also my friend makes kickass stickers and we would have him design our jerseys so that issue is still inthe works :)
