Hey before I get a scion, are they ok to use with a speed? I dont know if what tank i use really matters but i just want to be sure before i go and waste my money. Thanks

The Scion will work fine, just adjust it to ~450 psi

Anyone attempt gutting out the 05's minireg and just using the Scion as the primary reg for the 05? If, and I say "if" because my Scion has not arrived yet, you remove the minireg you could improve airflow to the Angel because you'd be eliminating the second regulation. That is the theory anyway.
True, you might get a reduction in consistencey because you wouldn't have the secondary regulation working to keep the operating pressure consistant. But the speed should increase.
Of course, this is pending the peformance of the Scion's reg.
So, anyone try it with the Scion or other adjustable HPA? I know that the Scion can reg as low as 100psi. Should be perfect as the primary reg, no?

I have used the scion for a main high pressure regulator for other markers and wasn't impressed. That regulator has a nice fast recharge rate, but isn't as consistent as I would have liked. If you can I recommend the old maxflo tank. I know no one here likes smart parts, but it's still my favorite tank reg ever.

By "old maxflo" I ment the manifold tank, not the new inline.

Hmmmmmm... The Scion is said to be used for LP systems, not HP. You had it set to a HP setting?

Ya, that didn't come out right. What I ment to say is that I used it for a main regulator. It was for an '02 intimidator and a dye matrix.

I was thinking about maybe gutting out the minireg in the 05 and trying that. I'll have to play aorund with it and see if I see what happens.

any progress with that trigga??Not yet but that is only because I haven't recieved the tank yet. I should have it buy next week or so.
I'll post my results after I get to play with it for a while.
