Glad to hear that. As long as you keep it clean and maintain well it will work fine. Take care of your equipment, and it will take care of you. ;)

Is there supposed to be a drop in performance?

I have just bought an Angel LCD that has done over 124 000 cycles. Should I be worried? She shoots splendidly, better than i thought.

What parts will wear causing a drop in performance?

Khaotic....if it was properly maintained you won't notice any differences between a marker with 1000 and a marker with 100000. Heck Ken was saying last night in the tech chat that the solenoids are actually designed to cycle something like 600 times a minute, and they aren't wear parts designed to fail after a certain number of shots. You can simply look at it as if you've just bought a marker that's already been broken in, and needs no fine tuning, it should be good to go. Give it a good cleaning, check all your settings are correct, and be happy with it.

I do believe the marker has been well looked after as it was owned by an Angel Tech of sorts (the closest we get to one in SA anyway), and at the risk of starting another accuracy and physics debate, I would say that the accuracy is on par with my extremely modified STO Cocker.

One last thing, and I know I should use the search function for this but damn it is fun to get 1st hand info :) .... How do you clean an Angel?

Khaotic, open your breech, pull out your bolt. Wipe it down, and use a Q-Tip to get inside of the bolt. Also use a Q-Tip to wipe the stuff where the hammer is. Clean your ball detent. Make sure your barrel and chamber are clean. Then put it back together.

Chicobus, do you have the Angel Toolkit? If not, get one, you will find it very helpful.

Thanks WarpedKid. Nothing too hard there, but I am not familiar with what a "Q-Tip" is. Not a term used in my part of the world.

Q-Tip is actually a brand name.....ear swab maybe? short little sticks with cotton on each end, used for cleaning out your ears, also used in the medical profession for applying ointments, or cleaning wounds in some cases.....think that's about the best way I can explain what a q-tip is without saying go search for it on the internet, I think Johnson & Johnson makes it, and I'm sure they've got a website........

Ha ha! An ear bud! :) Well thats what we call it anyway. Ok, that is making sense to me now.

I will promptly get a Q-tip and make sure the bolt, hammer and ball detent are clean.

Thanks.

Man! Don't be puttin' the numbers together like that. I feel guilty about spending all that money.....NOT!!!
Looking at the thread title, I agree. And, hearing the expected life of these markers, Angel fits nicely...'cus we are in paintball Heaven! Bros, it don't get no better than this....
