I found a linke on ebay to one of those sites claiming to give away "free stuff," and i fought something very interesting. The website he gave me is clearly meant to make money(KEEP READING), but it is perfectly legit (i see nothing that could go wrong). Basically, the website will give you a free x800 pro, laptop, or whatever else you may want (that they have) if you sign up (seriously took me 2 seconds) by giving an email and a password. The catch that they dont tell you up front is that other people have to sign up from your referral and complete an "offer." I am always really suspicious of these things, but the offer is from AOL. I read over all the terms and agreements, and basically what i found is that this website is trying to trick people into bringing traffic to their website in order to have people sign up for a trial version of AOL (which they make very convenient with no credit card, etc.) and NOT cancel it, thus allowing AOL to bill those people abd pay the website. Its a very good system, but the site only makes money if the people who sign up for it are impulsive, greedy, stupid, or forgetfull. I investigated it very clearly, and although i am not entirely positive they will give me an x800, i believe no harm can be done by trying. I figure theres nothing to lose, i complete their offer from aol, (i already signed up, literally took 20 seconds) then wait for confirmation from 9 other people that they too completed the offer, then cancel the trial version of aol and get my x800. They have a lot of stuff there and everything is entirely free. Any body who has already read this far probably isnt stupif, ignorant etc. and will most likely be able to take advantage of this system as i am trying to do. I am sure most of you will think i am full of it or a scammer, but i dont care, your loss. I am not gonna post the link here because i feel that constitutes spamming (please dont shut this mods, i'm an honest guy) and there are strictly defined rules for doing this (from the website) so if you are interested send me a pm and i will give you full instructions. I will stop giving out the link when i have confirmation from the website that 10 (9 are needed for the x800 but i wanna be safe) have completed what is necessary so that others who want in can be referred by those who help me. What do you have to lose? 5 minutes?
I'm skeptical but what the hell? I am bored, want a new card for even better graphics in Half-Life 2, and broke (thats what happens when you buy a speed). Shoot me a pm, maybe this thing will work.

only one offer needs to be completed, and you my idea here is to cancel after all nine people completed their one offer.
yes aol sucks, and yes this could be bs, but theres nothing to lose.

this Free XXXX item has been going around for a while now. It started as just a website and it was Free iPods, then it became free LCD Flatpanel monitors, and now it's just blossoming into a huge Free everything and they're sending e-mail spam as well. I have a couple of e-mail accounts set up specifically for spam that gets Free Xbox, Playstations, Laptops etc on a regular basis. You have to sign up for one of their offers, then get a certain number of friends to sign up using you as a refferal. They're using you to spam their advertisers instead of spamming it themselves.
By the way...of people that signed up for the Free iPod when it first started, I've yet to see anyone actually receive one, and I know quite a few people who got their refferals completed. Another message board even tried to Daisy chain it (ie you sign up for the first 5 people on the list and your name goes on the bottom, and steadily moves towards the top as the top people fall off). It's a scam and it's not worth it.

Though Halo 2 was fun the first time through and still has great multiplayer, Half-Life 2 COMPLETELY owns it in my opinion. Better graphics, better story, more challenging gameplay, more interactive environment, insanely realistic physics, better AI and lasts longer. I'm sure there's things I missed but it is a great game.
P.S. - Don't screw around with the combine troopers in the intro by repeatedly running into them. You could do that kind of crap in other games, but here they will chase you down and §§§§ you up. I thought it was pretty funny though even if I did get shocked and beaten.
