There was a reporter from the Oakland Press (local newspaper) at Atomix paintball yesterday taking pictures and asking questions. As usual, the owner JT did his best to make sure the reporter got a good idea of the sport, his field, and even organized an impromptu second orientation meeting so that the reporter could take pictures of and hear safety rules being discussed.

The reporter probably took 300 pictures while he was there, of which 2-3 will probably be used. I haven't picked up the actual paper but it is already on their website. I'm told the actual newspaper article on paper will probably have more pictures, but you never know.

The picture they chose was a breakout on field one of the advanced class (a good number of pros in the picture). It's real tiny on the webpage, but I'm the guy second from the left sweetspotting.

The reporter had said they wanted to do a full page spread, so it'd take a slow news day, probably 2-3 weeks, and here it is the very next day. Either he got more excited about paintball... or Michigan is full of slow news days.

Link to the tag-line for the article is on this page:

(I'm sure you'll be able to pick out which article is the Paintball one)
