Hey im zack and im new to the boards. well i dont know hardly anything about nitrogen tanks and i was wondering what would be the best tank for the new speed? I am looking in the price range of around 200-250. and what is the difference between high pressure and low pressure?

You have 3 choices in tanks, HP, LP, and adjustable. Your HP tank is usually set at an output of 850 psi, your LP tank is usually set to 450 psi, and the adjustable is pretty much good from 200-900 psi. You want to look at a LP tank for your speed. I as many others would recommend a LP Crossfire tank. The way to tell the Crossfire LP vs HP is by the band on the reg, blue = LP and red = HP.

The best tank for the money is the Nitro Duck X-tream. Its around $230 if you look in the right place. Im thinking of getting one myself...either the X-tream or the new MaxFlow.

So is 68ci 4500psi probably the best choice? and i was wondering something else while im at it....in the picture thread why doesnt anyone have any drop forwards on their angel's? Is there something wrong with putting a drop forward on one? and if there isnt then what would be the best dropforward in your opinion for the new angel?

there's nothing wrong with putting a drop on your angel, exept that it looks really funny in my opinion. it's all preference of how you want your gun to look and feel. drops make your gun taller. i would recommend a unimount, it puts your tank right under the bottom of the grip frame.

the drop is ok as long as the gun feels good to you for our style of play the 68ci tank is a good pick for all around play

The Preset Angel Air screw in is not a good tank at all. It is made by PMI. PMI is a very cheap tank, the only difference between the AIR and real PMI tanks is tha name and price...a lot more thena PMI tank. If you are going to get a preset screw in, go with a crossfire or centerflag or nitroduck.

Stick with the Crossfire 4500 LP tank. If you want the ability to use your tank for high pressure guns as well the X-Stream by Nitro Duck flows very good and is about the mist economical adjustable reg on the market around 210-230. I would recommend the 68 4500. I bought the 92 for fear of running out of air but I can shoot 2000 rounds and still have 1500+ psi on my 92. The 68 would be more than sufficient as the 05 is not a gas hog like a DM4 or timmy, and you don't have to lug around all the extra weight that is associated with the 92. Lastly, go with the unimount. Gives your gun a lower profile and does not really get in the way. Besides, one unimount is cheaper than a drop forward and rail together.

Thanks man :peace: ok now one more question what about the angel air lcd is it better than max flow to use on my 05

No the maxflow is the best regulator out there. WDP just likes to make thier tank fancy, not flaming at all...anyone whos ever used a maxflor can vouch for that. But Im sure people love their Angel Airs as well.

Listen to P8ntslinger, he knows whats up. Max Flo's are one of the very best tanks out there. My buddy gets +/-1 on his Dark Ir3 with his Max Flo (manifold style). I use a MacDev Conquest and get +/- 2 on my Ir3. I dont have a single complaint. I even bought another conquest for my 05 Speed.
A friend bought an Angel Air for his Angel and its not nearly as good as the Max's, Conquest's, or even some Crossfire's for that matter.

Conquest > Angel AIR > MaxFlow
That is consitency wise, maintenance wise, and flow-wise.

ginn,
id say: max flo>consuest>air. ive heard too many stories about AIR tanks leakin out of the box.
STAY AWAY FROM THE AIR AMERICA REG. i made that mistake, learn form me. it blew within mins of a fil(1200 psi disk). it was a slow fill at a scuba shop.
the appocolypse is a good tank, im usin it now and i havnt heard anthing bad about the armageddon, just no on/off valve.
