I'm new to the Angel, and am going to use it for the first time this weekend. What maintenance should I do after the day of playing? With past guns I'd break everything down except the regulator and give it a good cleaning. From what I've read on here it seems that I'd only need to clean up the breech, bolt, and barrel (plus a drop or two of the love juice as listed).

So what parts do you usually clean after a day of playing?

no need to break it all down just wipe it down real good (duh lol ) and give the breech a good run with a swab and put 2 drops of love juice oil on the hammer (part that the bolt sits in) and your good...

The only time you need to greese the regs or ram is when somethings not working. Either than that a drop or two of oil in the macro line every few cases and it should be good.

the mini reg and the lpr DO NOT GREASE THE BOLT

i wouldnt worry about the mini reg or lpr unless they show problems like drop off or shootdown. what you need to lube reguarly is the ram assembly.

heres what i do. after every day of play i give everything externaly a good wipe down and clean the breach and barrel out and wipe off the bolt. thats it. about every 3-4 cases of paint i put two drops in the macro fitting on my mini reg and two drops in the exaust port in the breach. do not put the oil in the ram side put it in the front hole inside the breach. then dryfire about 150-200 shots wipe off excess oil from bolt breach and barrel.

now about every 50,000 shots your suppose to grease your ram assembly. just take it out wipe it off check your orings for any damaage or stretch relube just the orings and reinstall.

i would not grease or mess with the lpr or minireg unless you see some sort of problem like a leak or fsdo or shootdown.

Make sure that the air at the field you play at is clean. I've been to fields where my marker is black on the inside after one event. If this is the case, I wouldn't wait for something to break before you clean it.

I've heard that when you put oil in the macroline, once it goes into the mini-reg, can muck up the internals of the mini-reg and cause problems. Anyone know about this? If its just hear say, or if its true?

Use Love juice ONLY!

Re: Speed 05 service

Ken I shot 10 cases of paint since i got my gun its well greased and had no problems at all.
Do I really need to take it apart and clean it?? I afraid to mess with new gun, never had expirience with Angels B4. Its totaly clean and ram well greased. Please let me know what i need to do.

nope leave it alone play with it until you see a drop in performance. add a drop or 2 of oil in the asa every 5 cases or paint and play happy !

As a soldier I can tell you it is a very common practice for weapons of any kind to be shipped with more lube then is needed for normal operation. Not sure if WDP is using this practice or not, but it is very common.

The bolt doesn't need any lube at all. Just be sure it's clean from all the excess grease or oil that may have gotten on there during packaging.

Yep, WDP does this, the Angels are lubed to bejesus and back. When I first got my 05 and did some test firing I had lube coming out of the sides of the breach and eye covers. Quite a bit more than was on my 03, but I'm all for it, no need to lube when it arrives and no need to worry about any corrosion during shipping.
