cleaning 05's eye's

Yea i got back from practice and i wanted to clean my eyes cause they got a lil paint so i was reading the manual and it says
"the angel eye sensor MUST NOT be PULLED out of the body by the ribbon cable, the sensor MUST be PUSHED out using a suitable blunt pick from within the body"

WTF i dunno what a blunt pick is tell me how you guys clean your eyes and what you use to get them out!! :biggthump

use a toothpick and a micro fiber towel. Get the toothpick and wrap the microfiber towel around it and gently swab out the eyes. you dont HAVE to take out the eyes to clean them. the eyes are inside the holes beside each ball detent

or you dont have to take the eye out at all. Go to a office supply store, and buy some Commpressed air in a can. Works really good, and you do not have to risk anything buy taking your marker apart. Just a few sprays, and wipe out the breach, and maybe spray a few more times, repeat till clean. :)

A small allen wrench is what Ken told me to use and looking at other threads,thats what some other people use,just dont tug or pull on the eye ribbion,it will tear

You can use a very small allen key to push it out, or like Ken said, give 'em a blow job. The eyes are very durable, it takes alot to "scratch" the eyes and not make them work. Just be easy on the ribbon.

an angel tech told me to use a 2mm allen key and not to pull em becaue if it breaks its not covered by our warrenties

just another thing to add, my eyes stoppped working in mid game, and i just dry-fired a couple shots and that seemed to get themworking again. May not be the best way but there's an idea if you're in-game. (they got all painty cus i took 4 hopper hits and it made a paint milkshake inside)

I have heard that you can take off the eye covers and use a can of compressed air (to clean keyboards) and they eyes pop out.

Yes, you can actually leave the eyes in, spray some water on them(with a squirt bottle) and then blow them off with some compressed air.

It saves the time and hassel of taking everything apart and is completely safe.
