If you take about a table spoon of finely powdered iodine and mix it with 2 table spoons of powdered aluminium you can have a really interesting fire start, reason: The iodine and aluminium mixture is compleatly ineart until you add water, when you add water it starts reacting and forms a cloud of purple smoke followed by hot red flames.

Really interesting to start a fire with water!

If you replace the aluminum with copper..it should be blue

Also you can take either a hunk of pure lithium, soduim, potassium, robidium, cessium, or francium and throw it in water and you will either watch it catch on fire or explode dependin on which one you use and how much you use :nerd:

Hmmmmm get a chunk of lithium about the size of a baseball it should come susupended in oil then just take it out and throw it in your swimming pool and gets to running i promise you wont be dissapointed LOL

and i see tons of it through the use of voltaic cells...dont be like me and make sure you have at least a hood and a few fans if your using one :microwave


but anyway making different colors with fire is definately fun, but thermite is still my fav lol
