I've seen a classic mag with the x valve outshoot a maxflo. I've seen a completely rebuilt impulse do it too.
All depends on your output pressure. If it is set real close to what the mini-reg requires, it takes longer for the reg to dispense that much. If you set it over what the mini-reg requires, it won't have to work so long to keep up.

Set well - no. But set well is the same settings as a preset - so why use a Max Flo?

my team captin was usin a old style max flo on his flyed speed and he loved it.
shootin at 20++bps and now he wants to buy one.
more consistant shootin at low tank pressure. only a 3% drop in output till 1000
a cossfire is about 15%

I use a 88/45 maxflo on my 05 and it works fine.

Shaq I have no clue what you have seen on tests - but after working for Crossfire I can say that you are just plain wrong.
We tested those regs - and SP's reg is very nice - but the flow rate and drop off were nearly exactly the same.
In my opinion this is why I liked my Crossfire reg so much. It was cheaper - it had no maintenence - and it was just as good (bar adjustability - which I always did in my mini-reg).

o sory about the crossfire tanks.
what i meant was that he did not have to adjust the velocity until the tank under 800
the crossfire he had was higher than that.
i really dont like aa those are the ones i will dis at any time(the reg system) hi end isnt bad i am usin an appocolypse 2k, there is a long story about how i got that and i dont feel like typin now.
or going into a rant
