What's the deal with the sudden outbreaks of fights in sports? There was a nasty fight with Indiana and Detroit in the NBA that spilled into the stands. The ramifications of that are going to be huge.

Today there was a big fight in the Clemson and South Carolina game. That was contained to the field, but it was a big one.

I wonder if it's going to continue into the NFL weekend.

I'm just glad to never witness or hear of fights like this in our sport. I know that tempers flare, but not to the levels that were seen this weekend.

not to include that one that happened in NFL last week, when that guy spit in the other guys face before the game. And i saw that one on the south carolina game.

its a shame that other sports cant unite in their Koolness like us ballers can :hugz:

I saw fights at paintball tournys before.

Nothing compares to the Pistons/Pacers mess. I still can't believe what happened, thats just crazy.

Those Pistons fans are pretty crazy. Ben Wallace should not have shoved that guy on the Pacers, it was not a fragrent foul, but even then the basketball players should have shown more restraint, even though one of em got a water bottle tossed at their head that started the whole player against fans incident. Now just for that the players are going to have fines thrown in their faces and suspended from the league for who knows how long.

At the field today, this one girl got mad at another girl for bunkering her and kicked her. It was kinda "hot" in a way except not really.

The NFL had theirs last weekend at teh Pitt/Cleveland game. It resulted in fines and an ejection of 2 starting players (1 from each team) before the game even started. Seems like in the NBA one that it's a little 2 sided...a) fans need to learn to control themselves, but we know from the past experiences that they can't and b) these atheletes are role models to younger generations and they need to be setting the bar and acting as such.

It is all a bunch of overpaid "animals" Just about all professional athletes are getting paid way more than they should be getting...they should play because they want to and like to. Its just like what Emmit said...younger generations look up to the athletes..I know I did, and still do...but sports have gotten out of hand. People need to remember that sports are just GAMES....you win sometimes, you loose sometimes...you should play them to have FUN....that is the point right????

the person on the Pacers team should never have "jumped" into the crowd like that...............

I'm not saying that Ron Artest did the right thing but he had the right to defend himself when being attacked, even if it was only a water bottle. Everyone should have a sense of security whether they are the fans or athletes and they must discipline both sides for such a huge matter as this one. Hope we don't have to witness another brawl like that (even though it's cool to see fighting once in a while  )
