Who uses cops!?

Hey guys, I never use this option at all, When i try to it always FUCTS up or doesnt shoot everytime i pull the trigger, So i leave it off, and still never chop, I have gone through 3 cases now, seriously honest, not one ball... Anyway, As WDP advertises this COPS so much i wanna take advantage of it. Is there somthing wrong on the settings or somthing??? Do you really have to tweak it alot to get it to work??? :puzzled: Cuz man I have never used it once in play, It just doesnt work right or somthing.... Prolly user error or somthing... ANYHOO let me know what you guys do!?:evilgrin:

Have you changed any of the settings for the COPS, such as

CMROF
Sensitivity
Bas

cause the factory settings, you won't be able to shoot very fast, because the sensitivity is set to low.

Try your settings as such

MROF 15
CMROF 20
SENS 6
BAS 3

& get back to me, this should speed up your cops & you'll be blazin' wit no Chops at all, Gaurenteed.

I have to set Sens to 9 or 10 to get it to work..

I used to use it..... At first it was slowing my rof until I got smart enough and changed the settings. Once I switched to a HALO B i do not have a need for COPS.

I just decided to start useing it.

I have owned my IR3 for about a month and a half. Only chopped a few times, when showing off, with crappy paint, when running and shooting.

So now I decided to give cops a chance and finially set it up. So off the break I keep it on just in case I have to do some shooting when running. As soon as I'm in the game it goes off.

It's nice but not one of the best parts of the gun.

I have put 20 cases through my Ir3 and haven't used cops durring play i do have intellifeed and haven't chopped yet
also on me old dark LCD i never choped either

I used COPS when I was running my Ricochet, and it worked for me there. It would slow me down a bit, kind of make me fire in bursts. Now I have a HALO B, and I dont use COPS. I tried it with it, and it slows me down.

don´t use cops! to slow...even with high sen-level. and if you turn the sen-level to high it chops anyway. so adjust your cmrof down?! NO, i turn my cops off...

It might be the gated feed some times it holds the balls. dosent let them go thru . Do you guys use gated feed ?

The first time you bunker someone and your gun doesn't fire but one or two balls because you had COPS turned on, you will forget about all this nonsense. Buy a good loader and don't use it unless you really take the time to set it up properly. My 2 cents..

An alternative would be to lower your MROF to 11 or 12bps, that has worked for me and I'm using a 12V Revy with X-board.
I've put about 40000 balls through my marker this year and the only time I've chopped a ball was when I tried to use RPS Allstar and that ball seems to be too brittle for the IR3.

I've had about 10-20 barrelbreaks and I haven't used COPS, with the exception of trying it out when I first got the marker. Now I don't even have the COPS rod or sensor in the marker and it works just fine.

Hi All,
when I first got my IR3 I didn't use cops to much. It didn't seem to work consitantly. After not using cops for 3 months or so I changed the sensor due to the element in the center snapped in two. After I changed it is seems to work very consistantly now. My old cops did have the wires smashed flat a little or it could possible be just to the gun getting broken in, wouldn't swear it was eather just know it works every time now. I have a Halo A.

COPS is usless for me... I tired setting it to all thoes settings, and it still is gay. Im turning it off. Oh and by the way, WDP should do a RECALL instead of having to go out and buy some MEM 5 board cuz there HUUUUUGE COPS thingy isnt working. Why advertise somthing that is hardly used and never works. :angry:

So your saying that the MAIN advertised part of our IR3's dont even work well unless you go out and spend $180 bucks??? Whats up with that? You think thats fair that WDP advertises COPS as the most revolutionary paint sensor, and pushes for it so much, but for the poor MEM 3 board owners get a crappy COPS system? Thats kinda messed dont you think? Maybe they should do a recall or do somthing about this. So we can actually get what we paid for!??? :angry:

I feel you bro, if they had a known problem on all previous boards of the COPS feature not being 100% then they should have a free upgrade to the new board for all existing older versions. Not that I really care since I dont use COPS but for those that bought the IR3 with that feature in mind, yeah they got ripped. :doh:

I had a Mem4 opto-board IR3. COPS wasn't perfect but still worked as advertised. I found it to work better with long strings versus short snap shooting strings.

COPS on the MEM5 board is flat out awesome, works exactly like it was advertised.


Uhhhh dude, you just said that your older boards suck ass when using cops, and now that you have a new board its good...?? You keep contradicting your self lol. Oh well, I guess ima just leave it off. That sucks ballz! LOL! and you cant compair a 1300 dollar gun to a Chinsey Operating system bro! And by the way, I have yet to pay for one upgrade or patch for Windows XP Pro.

Ok check it out J...LOL I freakin take my gun out on sunday, and my cops works awsome... BUT my gun is shooting 235 YIPEE!!!! So COPS is great, yet my gun shoots only in the range of 235 and below... I can turn my screw on the reg for days and it dont do a thing.

Cause its not your mini-reg pressure that is the problem. Its your LPR pressure.

Put a guage and check it. should be 89psi. Then shoot a string (no paint) and check that the recharge is snappy and fast. i.e. the needle returns to 89 quickly.

If the pressure is off then add or remove shims as necessary (read your manual).
If the recharge is off, then remove the lpr, take out the shims and springs and clean them all. Inspect the seals to see if there's any nicks.
Reinstall and test again.

Or just hand it over to an Angel tech.

Looks like im gunna go borrow my hommies LPR tester for his angel and see whats up... So if the pressure is to low, then do i add shims or if its to low i take them off?

I thought it was best to run an IR3 ram at 95-98psi. Since it has a smaller ram and solenoid.

side note, each shim added is aprox- 3 1/2psi to the LPR output.

Adding shims raises psi, removing lowers. I believe each shim is 3.5psi according to the manual.

I always use COPS.
If tuned up nicely, it is a great addition to the gun.

I got an IR3 over an LCD because of the antichop features. Yes the gun rarely chops anyways, but why not use the technology
built in.

I've had only one bolt face break in my IR3, and I think that was because the ball was probably weak somehow.

and I've shot over 15 cases by now. just a guess, I don't keep track but its somewhere around 15.
