I have noticed, when cleaning my eyes, when you put the eye cover back on, you have to get it just right. So that it isnt bouncing around when you press on it(you dont wanna feel the spring at all) but it isnt screwed in all the way.

When you screw it in all the way, hella tight, the eyes dont work for some reason. i actually thought i broke something when cleaning them, but i found out they were under too much pressure.

So you have to find that sweet spot between not too much pressure, but not able to feel the detent spring.

Anyone else wanna back this up?

yes i can. you dont need to take ur eyes out ever to clean them, case closed. all you do is get a spray bottle and spray down inside ur breech like crazy, take ur bolt out, and shoot all that water out. then wipe down everything, and there you go; clean eyes.

You *do* need to take the covers off to get at/clean/replace the detents though....

Easiest and safest way for most would be to purchase a can of compressed air and use that. Voila!

i haven't had to remove or service or clean my angel eyes yet but for the record i find that a simple small spay bottle w/ regualr rubbing alchohol in it works good, eats, runs paint, grease an dirt away easily an drys clear an free of any debris. i use this on my other markers w/ eye s an a million other things including my halo's as well ... give it a try ...
