alright my friends force fly is running a lpr of 40psi with 4 shims, im running my rasta fly at 60psi with one shim. we both used the same exact tool kit to check the lpr pressure, but my kick is less than my friends force fly is and im running a higher lpr pressure. im running a crossfire lp tank hes running a aci bulldog III hp tank, we both chronoed at 280-290 fps. can anyone explain to me why i have less kick

what volumizer are you both using, also what is dwell set at?

are the overall weights of the guns the same, drops used, etc.. how the gun balances can have an effect of how the kick feels.

i probably should have included this in the original post, but we are both running 9 dwell and the large volumizer. we both use a check it uni-mount. and the weight of the guns is very similar, my gun is a little lighter than his, nothing big though.

and by the way when i say kick, the kick on both guns is almost none

well, if you are both running dwell at 9 and your lpr is at 60 and his is at 40 then his minreg is having to put out more psi to achieve the same velocity...
also the force's are a little more back heavy making any kick a little more noticable.

someone correct me if im wrong, but wouldnt the gun with 60psi have a higher minireg output since its gotta add and extra 20 psi into the lpr?

is your spring stack correct?

thanks frank, the way i was thinking about it was wrong than, but either way shouldnt the 40 psi be lower kick. and yes both of the minireg and the lpr spring stack are in the correct order, but for some reason the lowest i can get mine is 60 psi with one shim, with 0 shims it leaks out of the flash tank.

very wierd, try putting your lpr piston and your shim in your friends gun and see if he has a 60 lpr, see if it is the gun or the parts.

Every gun performs differently. These guns weren't made with NASA-like tolerances and precision, but it's still the best in the paintball industry at least.
