Problem with Eyes on my Joy Division

The wierdest thing happened with my Joy today. As I was firing with the eyes on, the gun suddenly stopped firing as if the eyes were not reading a ball present. So I held my trigger in and turned the eyes off. After the round I did the eye test several times (8 times I think) and got a pass on every one. I went out to play another round and the gun did the same thing. The eyes seem to be working intermittently, but the eye test is always a success. Any ideas on what the cause of this could be? And is there an easy way to clean the eyes without having to take everything apart? Thanks.

possible tear on your eye ribbon? have you taken the eyes out before, it is possible you could have broken the solder joint that connects the eye element to the flexible circuit. simplest thing of all, it may jsut not be plug into the board good, i would unplug it and plug it back in ( be careful doing so though, it CAn break if your rough with it)
