Where is the cheapest place to order a SS Freak kit with a silver tip? What length of tip should I get for an Impact IR3? I play just about any position.

888paintball has them for around 180- you have to call them. Its + 10 for the silver front.

it doesn't really matter what type of gun you have as far as how long the tip should be...its all personal preference. I shoot nothing but 14's on my Angel...I have the silver tip, and SS back, and let me telly ou blends very smoothly with the silver to blue fade on my Dark...very pretty... you can see a pic in the LCD section...

Since I'll only use maybe 3 different bore sizes, I decided to buy everything individually instead of the whole kit, and save a little money. I bought the SS new style Freak back, a 14" silver AA tip, and a couple bore inserts from www.stalkerpb.com It was a lot cheaper, and they had everything in stock, and will ship it the next day.

PaintballGear.com seems to have em cheaper than Stalker. The whole kit (minus the additions for non-black parts) they have for I believe $175.

does anyone know where the cheapest ss back or ss back and silver front (no inserts) would be?

There are a lot of 'em on the 'barrels for sale" forum of www.pbnation.com and www.pbreview.com

You can wheel and deal, and get a pretty good price on one. Most of them will probably be old style SS Freak barrels, but they still perform the same.

I should have bought mine there.

Do the stanless steal backs improve performance at all, cause isn't that where the insert goes, or are they just for looks?
