I'm looking into making my angel low pressure. I need to know what all i'm going to need to buy. I have a maxflow 4500, and everything. Help me please, my aim is zhm331ts0h, and my email is worrgames1515@hotmail.com.
Thanks-Mike

J.Gruber: Do the LCD LP guts really make the LCD operate at lower rate than the stock? I wasnt sure if the title just implied that the product was actually FOR low pressure operation or that it is just a replacement for the stock low pressure assembly.

I know a lot of people say the Angel isnt designed for ultra low pressure, but I too am curious about advantages lp might have to offer. Especially being a cocker guy.

bonebrake, cobra, and freeflow mods make your gun lower pressure and all of them do a good job, I have seen the freeflow mod and mine is a bonebrake but I dont know about how well the cobra mods are. I would like to see that one also and see which one is best of them all.

What exactly is the bonebrake mod? I have seen the freeflow with the external cocker lp reg, but I know Danny Bbrake does some wondemous sheeit, I just dont know how they do it. :nervous:

Plus, I didnt even know Cobra had an LP mod. I know the Mambas are suppose to be top notchers, but I never questioned why.

A guy on Pbnation was telling me that he made a LP LED. It ran at 195psi and wouldnt chop balls. But he also said it made the gun slower.

Do a search on low pressure, there was a good discussion on it previously. My personal feelings: low pressure is a SIDE EFFECT of a real desired function: efficiency. Airsmiths were polishing this and that, making better parts to more exacting tolerances out of better materials. As a side effect the internal operating pressure of the gun was lower. Some people saw the end result and said "LP is cool!" without taking into account that after a certain point it's out of its efficiency range and the lower you go the more gas (air) you consume effectively negating the very thing you were looking for.
As for LP on an Angel, it will indeed make it slower. The internals on the LCD are very well made and any less pressure they just won't be able to cycle as fast. To this day I am convinced only a good air supply system and barrel system is needed.

That is precisely the problem cocker guys have. There is a apex of efficiency that you can reach, which is different for every gun due to the different parts you can choose. But once you lower your input pressure past that point, you start compensating for it by using LP chambers and larger main spring rate (dwell) to keep the valve open longer.

So in turn what you end up doing is your input pressure keeps dropping but you are using way more air than you should per shot in order to keep your velocity at/around 300fps.

It is the classic pressure -vs- volume debate
