ok wow, i just did a tournament and the gun worked great! but the fps jumps 20-40 fps randomly. It's pretty bad

my setup is: angel speed 03-04, standard everything, aci 68/3000 nitro 450 psi output

should i buy a new reg? and what other upgrades do you recommend?

o yeah.. the feedneck.. does it come off the gun? it's like an adjustable one and i dunno if it comes off.. thanks,

i would get a LP tank with mine when i used a tank that output it worked for about a month then it started to jup arround and ended up to where i couldnt turn the velocity below 380. so i got a scion adjustable tank and now my gun runs at 180 into gun. so that could be ur problem

I've been running the same aci tank as you for a while now and have had no problems, so I dont think thats it. How many cases of paint have you put through your gun? And have you checked your mini-reg for excess grease? Sometimes they come with to much grease in them and it can cause problems like this. Normally, the minireg is a really decent reg. No reason to buy a new one if you dont have to. But if you do decide to buy a different one I would go with the gen-x 2 one also. A guy I know took one he had on his cocker and put it on his speed, now he promises his gun is more consistant than before.

You'll have to pull it apart. Check on pg. 20 of your manual, it'll show and tell you how.

take the whole gun apart. wipe off everything. regrease, oil etc..

thats usually fixes most things like that.

its alot of work to fix something that probably doesnt need it. but its always nice to have a new greased, oiled gun :D

Oh, and your feedneck will screw off. You will probley have to heat it up with a blow dryer and use a strap wrench if its been loc-tited in good, but it will screw out.

Yea, the more I think about it, I'm tempted to buy a Gen X-2 also. Right now mine only varies about +-10, but I wouldn't mind seening if I can get that lower.
