battery charger

the charger i got with my speed was broken so i bought a 12v dc charger and had the current flow of the tip and base match the one on the previous charger and i had the cord and tip from the old charger attached to the new charger...thus everything is relatively the same now..so wouldn't it be fine to use it?

I wouldn't suggest trying that. I would try to find a used on for sale in the classified section or buy a new one. If you hook it up and its not right, you may now be out for a correct charger, battery, and/or board.
