ball detent question

Where can I find ball detents for an '03 speed? I ordered 2 types and both are too large to fit into the marker (caps are too large). I guess the cap was changed somewhere along the evolution of the speed... Also, any suggestions for the best setup for detents on it would be welcomed.

call up or email one of the sponsors! You can also try the caps from cobra paintball or get warped sportz iron cross. Setup depends on if you use a halo or not. If you have a halo and it's pushing the balls past the detents, then stretch the springs out a little. Other than that, there are really no other things to do to them.

but what are the different types of detents by year/model of angel? I want to make sure I get detents that fit! I guess I have no choice but to call up a tech at one of the reliable sites (hard to get time during the day to call em).

Ball detents from the Speed and 4 are compatible.

Ball detents from the LED, LCD, and IR3 will not work on the Speed/4 as they are not compatible and vice versa.

Why the hell do most sites only list "Angel ball detent". Sure would be nice if more sites denoted which type of detent was being ordered

Speed ball detents consist of the detent, spring and cap. they usually sell the pieces individually from each other and in pairs. just contact a sponsor and they will definitely hook you up with the right parts.
