This weekend I took my predatored angel speed to the field for the first time and was suprised at the crappy range and accuracy. It really seemed bad compared to my old gun (Free Flow cocker). It is much faster and more fun to shoot but i was wondering how i could extend the range if possible. I also dont understand how dwell works so that might have something to do with it.

When you turn the dwell up, it decreases efficency, raises noise level a little bit and is more consistent/gentle on paint. When dwell is turned down, it's quieter, more efficent but less gentle on paint. Dwell is the amount of time the valve stays open to let the air through to the paint to achieve desired velocity.

Also, if you chronoed at the same speed as you did with your cocker and had the same paint/barrel match there technically shouldn't be any difference in speed or accuracy.

with my cocker the ball went straight and flat for a good distance but with my speed it only goes like 2/3 that distance before it starts to curve and stuff. How do you know if it is a good paint barrel match? With my cocker I only had one barrel and i never had a problem with accuracy.

you know you have a good paint barrel match if you drop the ball in the barrel and it wont role out but it is loose enough where you can blow it out with your mouth. if you can do that you have a perfirct paint to barrel match

It could also be the paint you were shooting. If the paints dimpled it will really change how well it flys.

If the dwell stuff doesnt work, and ur iwlling to spend money, geta pipe or a freak kit.

Lay them side by side over night and put a piece of cheese in the Angel's breech. This will lure the cocker fairies into the Angel where they will increase your range, flatten your trajectory and turn your roto-breech into a perpetual motion machine. ;)
But seriously... Range is determined by velocity. An Angel and a cocker both shooting 280 fps will send the ball the exact same distance. Assuming paint and barrel quality is equal. Get good paint, a good barrel and a clean regulator and you'll shoot the same with the Angel as you did with the cocker.
