2nd Generation iR3

I was at the field today and I was talking to some guys about getting an iR3 and they told me to wait until the second generation comes out?
Do they have any idea what they are talking about?

I know all about that, I told him they were on mem5 and added the opto trigger and he said I should still wait for 2nd gen...
I dont think he has any idea what he is saying

Okay, that's interesting (?).
I was told the 2nd gen. IR3 was the new trigger and upgraded board. The new trigger is fast and feels odd without a "click".

I'll have to do some checking to see if there's something else.

ok cool. im getting the damn gun finally anyway, I made up my mind tonight for several reasons...
I guess the opto trigger will take a little getting used to but will be much better performance wise
