It's called sensi now, but the system is the same. Take a look at the A4 manual to see all of the menus and how they work:

Did you make the gun live, then hit the button?
Right from the manual, you will need to look at the light to see if the sensi is on or off.

· RED CONSTANTLY ON = LIVE mode, SENSi™ Off
· RED SLOWLY FLASHING = LIVE mode, SENSi™ On.

The cops system (or Sensi) is a Crystal Operated Paint Sensor. There is a sensor in the handle of the marker which detects when paint drops into the breach.
When the paint drops into the breach it hits a small plastic rod poking through the bottom of the breach. this pushes the rod down onto the sensor which causes the sensor to flex. When the sensor (a crystal strip) flex's it produces a small voltage. This voltage is read by the board, either ir3 (cops) or A4 board (sensi) and then allows the marker to be fired.
If you are missing the cops rod or sensor or it is unplugged it will not work. The A4 board shows when it is in sensi mode by the red light flashing on the back when it is live.

The Halo has a really strong feed force. it will push the balls hard against the cops rod and possibly so hard that it will break the crystal strip in the sensor. Cops sensors cost around $20 to $25 to replace. not cheap. therefore they say to take out the cops rod so it cant push down on it. This also means that you have to have a hopper that can keep up with your ROF. If your Halo isnt keeping up you will break paint. The new board may help solve your problems.
