My ir3 is chopping alot more than i think it should be. i have the a4 soft bolt, and a halo, plus i had my mrof set at 20 bps but it still chops about 2 balls per hopper load. I ordered a victory board hoping that would solve my problems, but it didnt come yet. How can i get my angelto cho less? Also it isnt very accurate, it seems like it is a little more accurate with my jt barrel than my freak, but is that wrong since i paid over 100 for my freak, and 15 for my jt? any help would be aprreiated, how do i get my gun more accurate and less chops, also more efficient would be nice i get about 400 shots per 1000 psi

umm im not sure what kind of a dendent, i think its just whatever comes stock on a dark ir3, and ithink that my cops rods or whatever are taken out if that matters. the person i bought the gun from said i should leave them out if i use a halo.

Chopping could be caused by numerous different things.
Firstly try different paint, bad paint may not feed as fast as you would like. Also make sure your paint is matched to your barrel. Hoppers will also have trouble feed the last 10 - 20 balls in a hopper (as they bounce around alot) so make sure you are keeping your hopper topped up.
Secondly, Halo's have been known to have trouble working properley on ir3's. I know when I had my Halo it would chop like crazy, and I had really good battery's in it too.
Also Halo's are recommended to be run with stiff ball detents as they tend to push on the balls really hard and it may end up forcing a second ball halfway into the breach and then it will chop. I suggest you try an egg with Z board on you marker.
Thirdly, If your ball detent isnt working well then you may again be getting chops caused by the detent alone.
fourthly, check your dwell, generally a dwell of 14 should work o.k. but you may want to play around with it and see if it improves.
Fifthly, What ROF are you shooting at? if you are out shooting your marker/hopper (without cops on) you will chop. Try lowering your MROF setting to something sensible like lower than 15 and see how it goes. Without cops you have not system that try's to eliminate chopping apart from the speed of your hopper, and if it cant keep up, chop chop chop.
Check all of this but mainly i think your hopper will be the main cause.

o.k. you are trying to push the most out of your marker that you can get. To do this you need to learn everthing about how it works. You need to read the manual thoroughly so you understand what everything is. Then we can provide some technical advice as you will know what we are talking about.
Alternativly you can have a angel technician service teh marker and get it all running mint.
If you have no cops you are really pushing the limits of what you can get away with on this marker. I dont know of any other markers that can fire this fast without chopping, that dont have a paint sensor of some sort.
