Well I got it and when I took it out the metal leaf was just kinda hanging out so I knew that wasn't right because it couldnt fit nor could it move. So i slid it under the blue switch thing. Anyway so I put it and it works and all but the trigger feels terrible the pull is very hard and it feels more like my tippmann a-5 then my brothers angel a4. Also everything barely fits in, is that i should bend the leaf so it goes in more or what. Im going to try an adjuste the trigger later but my main concern is the fact that the trigger barel fits in there and its very tight, is it suppose to be like that.

I had the same probelm when I had an A4 board put in my gun. It was not unlocked before it came from the factory, and was never unlocked before sent out from one of the mts. I sent it to rthe nearest MT (Impact Paintball NJ) and it was back within the week. In case you dont know already, when the board is locked for whatever reason, the dweell, and firing modes like auto can not be changed.
As for the trigger being stiff, you will need to put a slight outwards curve in it to get a good feel to the trigger. This is the case with all brand new Angel Boards..less the 05 Speed of course :blasting:

ok thanks and it turns out the that metal leaf just wasnt all the way in now i love this thing to death, but what is weird about the dwell is i was able to adjuste it then i reset the board trying to do adjust the TR cause i was getting mad, then i did the tr first and now i can get the dwell up. Is it locked or whats going on cause im not sure if it will work at 11
but now i was about to put the board back in and the metal leaf popped out again. The thing like barely stays in and unless i jam it in quick its not gonna stay, when i say pop out i mean the leaf is chillin above where it sets off the opto switch. What is going on

You have to bend it to get it to fit properly in an IR3. The frame is different from the 4 so its going to be off a tad.

where did i see used A4 board for $85? i'm thinking of getting one cuz if i later decide on the MT fly conversion it would only be $299 right cuz i alreayd would have the A4 board.
another question, can i replace some resistors to use the 6v batt instead of having to buy the 4.8 batt?
Hey cougar, you don't have to switch batteries. I have the 6v in mine w/ an A4 board and no problems.

cougar, yah you will have to switch boards for the eye conversions, A4 boards are different than FLY boards...but the 85$ used A4 boards are at www.angelservicecenter.com

yeah but if i get a non fly a4 board then later on get the fly conversion wouldn't it be $100 less? since the A4's cost $299 w/ exchange of a working a4 board.
You'll have to talk to the MT that's gonna do the conversion. He might, however I'm not sure.

Do you still use the IR3 charger? I was thinking about that and was gonna buy the Speed/A4 charger to use on my IR3 battery since you can charge a higher voltage battery at a lower voltage, I wasnt too sure if the A4 board had that much of a voltage tolerance.

It is. I asked Ken that exact question. And he told me an ir3 with an A4 board would be classified as an A4 for the conversion, hence making it cheaper

Awesome, so the ir3 battery and charger will work fine with the A4 board?

the newer intelli chargers will automatically adjust to the board you are using

It's been stated on this forum several times that the IR3 battery and charger will work with the A4 board.
