Sup everyone
i used to own a lcd 2k2 back in the day, then went to speed, but the only thing that through me off was how stiff the triggers were, comparable to "stick triggers" if you will as some people called

then i went matrix because the trigger pull is alot lighter.

with the new design of the speed and its trigger frame, does it still feel "stickish" or is it more like a matrix pull now?

thanks in advance

The new Trigger ROX!!!!

I dont think that really answers his question...

Anyways, from what i've heard you can adjust the looseness/stiffness of the trigger to your liking using the vernier wheels.

Either does that...

The Vernier wheels do nothing but adjust the Travel of the Trigger.

The Trigger System is much better. It does not touch anything besides the beam of light, which activates the Marker. The Trigger is Magnetic, which means that is will be super smooth and light.

ok I just got my speed (today) and I've been messing around with teh trigger, its really, really eeze to just rip on the trigger, I havent shot the thing with paint in the gun yet but fireing it with the eyes off (capped at 18bps) is sickeningly easy, its a little stiffer than a matrix or a viking but the responce is so friggn fast that it makes up for it. I don't think you can adjust the tension but you can get one hellov a short, fast trigger pull...I must say I'm a big fan of the magnetic trigger. it pwnz :hititraw:

from what ive read you can lessen the pull of the magnets by backing both vernier wheels away the same amount, this however will lengthen the pull of the trigger as im to understand it.

I've been thinking about this and it looks like you could jsut get a 2'nd set of wheels and pop out the magnets and replace them with weaker ones. you could ether lathe new ones out of a weaker magnet or you could pop em out, grind them a little shorter and make a little plug out of plastic, metal (lead) or whatever to block the magnetic field a bit.

I must admit the trigger is pretty stiff, its still stiff if you back up the wheels the same length, however if you have the activation point at the way beginning of the pull, you can just tap it a it shoots so it somewhat loose. However even if its stiff it is sicking fast, which i didnt think it would be with the stiff trigger but you will be surprised in how much the magnets help.

I tried it in a store today. It does seem pretty stiff, especially since I am used to the MT magnet trigger. But don't worry, in time someone will have a solution for the perfect 05 trigger.

it does seem stiff, but its real easy to rip on. I havent got to play around with one with air in it yet, but hopefully this weekend i will :)

I have a question... I do not currently own a speed but will be soon as we just got sponsored by WDP...(godsend) I have only shot it and i was curious can the resistance of the magnetic trigger be adjusted?....if so is the process fairly simple or will it take a miracle to get it done right?...

Thanks

theres a mod around somewhere on this forum about sticking half of a washer on the magnets..

I thing the reason that it feels stiffer is that its virually no sideplay on the trigger, like its often is on blade triggers for matrixes and on all triggers for shockers.

what about this "drop-in kit" i keep hearing of every once and a while? anyone know a ETA on that or a rough guesstimated price?

A drop in kit for the trigger may not be required. The trigger is very adjustable. Watch out for bounce though. I've had mine too light and had my debounce too far down and it wouldn't stop shooting for a second or so after I did. It was kinda funny, but not practical. But to get back to the topic the stock trigger should be light enough for you if adjusted properly.

If you remove the trigger there are two rubber washers, one on each side of the trigger, take them out and the trigger will travel faster.

did removal of these washers cause play to be introduced to the trigger setup?

before i got my 05 speed i had a dm4 i didnt think that any one could make a better stock trigger than the dm4 untill i got my 05 to me its the best stock trigger pull i have ever felt and i have owned alot of top end markers. i hope that helps to answer you question.

I got a new speed and the trigger was way to stiff for me. In order to decrease the stiffnes i used an exacto knife to pop out the larger magnet. now I have tyhe small magnet in the front and no magnet in the back and the trigger is perfecto.

No play was introduced. The trigger just moves faster. WDP put the washers in to prevent any bounce, but i don't get any bounce at all without them.
