I have looked through the forums, and never really found a concrete answer to the question. I plan on buying teh 05 Speed as my first Angel and I don't want to F it up...but anyways heres the issue...

I have a Center flag 68/4500 tank that I used with my cocker... Now I am planning on selling it eventually but maybe in a years time.

I read that u can do the Reg-Mod to get below 290-300 FPS...but other places I heard that a HP tank can damage the gun....I just need a concrete answer to this...can I do the reg-mod with my Center flag tank and get the FPS down without hurting the gun?

Is your centerflag Low pressure. You do not need to do the reg mod if u have a Low Pressure Tank. if you do i think it wouldnt hurt the gun just do the reg mod and youll be fine.

hp doesnt hurt the gun. its made for low pressure, but it can handle HP just fine. only problem is the FPS with a HP tank.

it won't hurt the gun, but it will be hard for me to get below 290FPS I guess...that shold be alright...

Not every gun will be hard to get below 300fps with a high pressure tank. Its usually only if the tank reg is higher than its supposed to be. I run my speeds reg stock with a HP pure energy tank and it works just fine. A guy I know just bought a Force Speed and runs his gun stock with a high pressure tank as well. I'd only do the mod if you can't get it below 300fps.

How do you know if your tank is high pressure or low pressure? I'm not sure what mine is. It's a 68/3000 A.N.S. Extreme? I'm running it on an Impulse right now.
