I just got my first ever Angel... a 2k3 iR3, and I was checking out some websites I usually get upgrades from and I really didn't see much selection... where do you guys get your upgrades?

Hate to break it to you, but Angels come pre pimped. You dont really upgrade anything performance wise, just mix some colors and thats about it.
You already have barrel and good air system + hopper.
-Soft faced bolt
-either a A4 board or the FLY conversion kit

Closest will be our sponsor Badlands. www.badlandspaintball.com

Thats kinda good and kinda bad... i know they're already sick the way they come, but it'd be nice if they made it possible to make em even nicer IMO... but thats just me... I always just kinda assumed that you could upgrade em more... lol

lol they are the lamborghinis of paintball. There is basically nothing that you can do to make them better. The only thing you can do is add on new tech that came out AFTER they were mad.

those are pimp as hell...
other than that...uhmm geta new backplate?
get new milling or anno on it?
theres not much you can do to increase actual performance...its pretty much all cosmetic, if you want your IR3 to Rip your gunna wana get the Eyeq conversion at any of the above links

MT Fly conversion. then IMO, barrel, soft face bolt, Stainless steel hammer, then pretty much anything else is to suit your own tastes/style.
BTW the person that sold me the iR3 said it's a twisted regulator.. but the people i work with say it's a stock angel reg.. but the bottom half is black and has the spiral grooves that is twisteds design. anyway it's not very consistant. and i believe it creeps as i shoot. any ideas?

Clean the mini reg out latley cougar? And for the performance thing, basically you have to start doing your own experiments with the internals to get it work better, like ive been working to get my IR3 to be as air effeicent as possible and ive done a lot of personal custom mods to it and I think im getting there finally, so the only thing I have left to do is get the MT fly mod done to it and she will be golden.

Best upgrade I have done is switching out to the SoftFace bolt and changing the gated feed neck to a twister so that a Halo will fit on my gun with out sanding down the hopper neck.... Like stated above the gun is already pimped out. Cosmetic changes to suit your wants or maybe having the A4/Fly machining and electronics installed is about all that can be done. Or just do nothing and enjoy the Damm Awsome Marker you already have in your hands! Looks Don't Kill, the Marker does!

you could also get a new trigger(check fireballmountain and cobrapaintball)a new feed neck, a new bolt

there are many things you can do to upgrade them...however there's not much you can do with regular hand tools and bolt on upgrades...and it becomes more of a custom approach.
most "bolt on" upgrades that people offer for angels are more cosmetic or "creature comforts" like clamping feednecks, barrel kits, sight rails, detents, etc...
my suggestion is...if you happy with the performance, go for the creature comforts...if your not happy with your performance, be ready to shell out some big bucks.

yeah so how do you get the minireg apart?? it's really dirty. i took the cir-clip out but i can't get the piston and §§§§ out.
it's the stock twisted minireg, it's pretty beat looking. i think i'll just order another stock reg.. i'm looking on going LP in the future, any reccommendation or stick stock

bang it on a hard surface with a towel underneath it...the piston will come out

i kinda scratched it anyway getting the circlip out so theres metal shavings inside. i just ordered a new one last night

No if its dirty you really got to bang on it, like fairly sustained hard banging, and do it a more suitable time, IE when people are not sleeping. And if you havent cleaned it in awhile chances are there aint much oil in the orings so they arent going to slide out very easy.

well i oil it all the time in the macro line elbow.. well i got a new angel reg. it's the one with the milled dimples. anyway i wanna put my macroline elbo on there instead of the stock straight one.. does the straight macroline fitting come off the reg?

Yes it Does. may be a little hard to get off but a good pair of pliars should do it ;)

Yea they are tricky to get out of there, whatever kind of lick tite crap they use at the factories its super tough stuff, but it will come out.

yeha i got it, channel locks over a rag on the reg and vise grips on the fitting did the trick.. but the §§§§ing channel locks cut through the rag a little and put a few scratches on the reg :(
