annoying beep....help please!

When i turn on my gun it beeps forever on long beep. it only goes away if i pull the trigger multiple times. and it does the same thing when i turn it to safe, or when i turn it to live.

please help me, its driving me crazy, what could it be?

if it's a high pitched 'whine' it's the backlight. It should go away when the backlight turns off.

yeah that §§§§ is annoying as hell. i set my backlight low, i will prolly turn it off since i play indoors. it'll save you a little bit of battery too.

You guys have a really high pitched whine? I can only hear mine when I put my ear close to it, thats odd indeed.

no it's only annoying when i'm home and it's quiet. other than that i don't notice it.

The IE3 use's a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) the noise you hear is the power being applied to the screen to make it illumate the green glowing you see, it's called back lighting. it's very much like the clocks and watches you can buy "indago" lighting. The noise is the high voltage (not really high as in 10000 volts, but high as in the normal operating voltage being around 1.5-3 volts dc) when it is applied to the screen to make it glow it creates that high piched whine you hear. The lighting is great for back lighting a LCD screen but it's downfall is that it cosumes large amounts of power. So if you really don't need the backlight on (playing in the daylight) just turn it off to conserve power and do away with the Whine.
