My IR3 is less accurate then my brother's Spyder Xtra now for some reason. The cops doesn't work, it lets me shoot like 2 shots in a row and then I can't shoot anymore for a couple of seconds. My shots zip left and right like a bowli ng ball. WTF is wrong with my cops? How do I fix it? I've only shot 4,100 Shots through my IR3 and just got it last week brand new. I don't even know where the cops sensor is, so little help there please :notsure: .
Also, I get hardly any distance out of it  . I get lots of misfeeds with my Egg 2 and I'm only shooting 12 BPS.
Help with any of this would be highly appreciated!!!

I had lots of paint in the breech when I opened it and still haven't gotten it all cleaned, and I have a new bolt, a new barrel, and possibly an A4 board coming in - but it wouldn't be very fun with an Angel that shoots like my Brass Eagle Talon Ghost.

Supermax, have you attempted to read or open the manual? It would detail in there the proper steps to cleaning the internals of your marker and locating the COPS hardware. The COPS will not effect how the marker shoots, however if you have paint in your barrel/breech then the shots will zip every where but straight.
Sounds like you need to configure COPS via the internal menus, the steps are detailed in the manual.

My barrel and breech are clean and I still have zippy paint that won't shoot as straight or far as if I just threw it at someone.

Id have to say, that its your barrel/bore match to the paint. Thats really the accuracy. Saying that angels as a whole are not accurate is just plain retarded. If its not accurate then get a better barrel.

The Paintballs tested fine in the barrel I think (I stuck one in and blew it out)

Here's my flight pattern:

In blowing a paintball threw the barrel:
Finish (Approx 6 Ft away)

The paintball fits in the barrel (stock barrel) [PMI Premium X-Out Paintballs and Draxxus Midnight Paintballs (Not used in conjuction, used in separate tests)] with a little light through the top and bottom of the ball. I opened up the breech with the knob on the back of the angel, took out the bolt, cleaned it, and then cleaned the whole inside of the breech thing (on the bottom - it had a river of paint in it), and then I secured it back together.
I then cleaned out my barrel with my Squeegie and then with a wet paper towel, then dried it, and looked through the barrel to make sure it was spotless.
I then cleaned the hole the barrel goes into on the gun.
Lastly, I re-adjusted my dwell to three different settings - 10, 11, and 24, none of them helped any (Except each time I set it higher it ate up my Nitrogen quicker and made the marker louder).
The paintballs don't travel as far as my brother's stock Spyder or my stock Tippmann 98 OR EVEN my STOCK Brass Eagle Talon Ghost! I have a Dye 72/4500 Nitrogen Tank, an on/off, a smart parts rail, a C&C IR3 Champagne Angel marker, and the stock barrel. I've adjusted my velocity several times and it has been a little spikey (but I know all markers do that before they get "kicked in").
I'm getting a little dissapointed, I've read the manual 3 times through and haven't figured out how to adjust my COPS because I can never get the stupid internal menu to access it, so I've been shooting it without the COPS.

Alright, I know you're probably pissed at your gun now(we've all been there at one point or another), so take a step back, relax, and lets get to it.
Paint going right and left out of the barrel means you have a dirty barrel or breach, or the paint is crap. If the gun is inconsistant, the paint will have crappy accuracy on the vertical plane.

I'm going to go try some of my All Star paint, I'll have a report in 5 mins.

Pull off your barrel and swab it. open the breech, swab it, and pull your bolt and clean it. Then clean the breech. When you do this, be careful, as excess pressure on the cops rod will damage the cops sensor. Get all the paint and debris out of there, and make sure the feed neck is clean too.
While you're at it, make sure you didn't break one in the hopper, paint in there will have the same effect as a dirty barrel/breech.
You can IM me if you need anything else.

Hmm, the all star perfomed noticably better, I was shooting off of my game room balcony and constantly hitting a tree at about 80 feet. It still has more left or right movement than I'd like, but I suppose it will improve as I go on.
Does anyone know the bore size for Midnight's by Draxxus? My local field is on a park so that's all we are allowed to shoot and I need to match my barrel size to it :-D.
Lastly, any help with the cops would be appreciated, and a little help in where I should oil the gun the most at (to keep it at optimal performance) would be highly appreciated.
Thanks for the help guys, I suppose my Premiums and Midnights didn't match my stock IR3 barrel or something of that sort.

have you even done any of the COPS tests as described in the manual?
all the COPS settings are changed via an internal menu when the marker is live.

maybe even try it with the cops off???...when I just had the stock COPS I could never get it to work eaither I just turned it off...at least youll know if your bps problems are because of cops then...

try a better barrel, better paint, and set dwell to 14.. a higher dwell handels crappy paint better, but there is a limit. i've shot midnight through my iR3 using a freak barrel with a .689 insert and also used a dye aluminum barrel, it held up to my standards with both barrels.

You said you had your dwell from settings 10, 11 and 24, it should be at 14, if you dont have it there make sure you get in there. Also you said you couldnt access your internal menu? You do know you have to remove the grips to access that right? Also the cops thing isnt that difficult, just run a search on here aboot cops because too many people have asked what the best settings are for it with what hopper so on and so on. I used to use a stock Egg and I ran my BAS at 4 and my sens anywhere between 6 and 9. With my new ZBoard I run my bas at 3 and my sens is at 9 if I remember (havent used my gun since februrary so cant remember =P). As for the midnight paint, draxxus is notorious for small bore paint, so im going to assume any stock barrel is to big, so I would recommend getting a barrel that is close to .686 or .687 for that paint. And it sounds like your really frusturated with the gun right now so I would recommend that you just sit down and read the manual cover to cover and take the time to understand all the settings, and how the gun works. Also you need to keep angels fairly clean and well maintained, just like with a high end sports car, you wouldnt put budget gas in it, or take it to some Tom Dick and Harrys for a tune up. Keep it clean, use good oils and lubes and feed it good paint and she will work well like an angel :).
