View Full Version : IR3 Trigger Frame On LCD

I saw the other Thread but I wanted to start a new one. I see that the Single-Trigger Frame on the one at Cobra-Paintball.com looks like it could fit a LCD Board. If that one works then shouldn't the Double IR3 Frame work on the LCD??

Any iR3 frame will fit on a LCD. However, a LCD board will not fit in an iR3 frame.

When you look at the one at Cobra it looks like the bottom is at an angle. Like if it you tilted it would be 45 but maybe the boards are different sizes.

I really want the space frame for my LCD. Other than that...I'm perfectly happy with my LCD! I really want WDP to release the space frame WITH a new upgraded encapsulated LCD board. What do you guys think?

Yes you can put an IR3 Board in if you change it to an IR3 Frame, but for now they are not releaseing either of them.

Most likely you had the right address, I believe Doc's email service is down right now. It's bouncing everyone's messages back. BTW Doc doesn't do production work that I know of, he can make you something but not 100 grip frames people can buy. My assumption but it never hurts to ask.

i dont under stand why they did come out with one for the lcd they make alot of money off off them a fly lcd witha spaceframe would be hot

im not going to get it dust any more, i mite just keep it the same or get it black so all the parts match. i had to send the freak with my other gun emember cuz i couldnt find the stock barrel. they do have 12 inch freaks just to let you know. if it dont rain ill play.

those bastards at wdp. they should be selling the IR3 frame and board. they should them to certified shops with your ID # for your gun after you have your shop order it. then the shop can put the trigger frame and board in your gun. done. 300 bucks later you have what you want.
i mean, besides the new 14 way and ram, what else is better in the ir3 (besides the cops) over an lcd. all i want is the trigger frame. anyway, i just wanted to cry about this a little more. later.

yeah, we, as of right now, its 125 for a single trigger from cobra and from what i have seen in the picture, the lcd board should fit right in but i don tknow if the screw holes line up correctly and i doubt the trigger will hit the micro switch. soooo that is why itred emailing docsmachine but of course the email is still down. does any one know of a really good machinest/tech to do this conversion fast and easy. i figure the person could do this mod with out ever needing you to ship the marker. he buys the trigger frame, mods it to fit an lcd board in it (and what ever else is needed to make it work) then he ships it to you after you paid him. It comes to your house, up take off your handle, take out your board, put it into the IR3 cobra frame and then plug in your wires and bolt it back on to you lcd angel. DONE. sounds simple dont it. I cant believe cobra doesnt see an IR3 handle for the lcd angel though. so gay!

i think i emailed the angel guy and he siad that he dosent know when they will be geting them, but he said it could be soon or long. i will post the email... never mind i dont ahve it any more

They might lose a little of money since the LCD's are cheaper. I can also seeing this as making more money. Even though the iR3 has all those sweet features, but I think an LCD would be neat to have a iR3 frame on it!

i mite be rong but i dont think they are going to amke the lcd any more so they wouldnt be losing too much cuz most of them are already bought up.

RIGHT! wdp is done with making lcds. just IR3s now. sooo they will not be losing any money by selling IR3 frames that would work on an lcd, but, wdp is not in the market for making "hop-up parts" for the angel lcd. so i guess they dont care about your lcd. they only care about you buying a new IR3. (with angel air) But, maybe cobra will pull their heads out of their ass' and see the light and make IR3 trigger frames for the lcd, unless wdp wont let them.

hmmm i could maybe make one to fit the lcd
if i got the space frame my friend (good at drafting) could draw up a space frame that will allow the lcd board to fit. and then i could take it in to our schools shop (the machining teacher is awesome and would be enthusiastic about this) and we could make one.

i dunno, just a thought

I just want one to put on my Excalibur. Hopefully I can find a black frame one day that somebody has from upgrading to the Cobra or something.

exactly....and no its not a woodshop
we have a full machine shop in our school
we even have a cnc machine
and our teacher is awesome, he said we could make barrels, bodys, triggers, anything that involves metal.
oh yea and we have a honing machine that we could use to hone barrels...not sure how good it would do it, but its worth a shot.
my friend is in the process of making a trigger for his angel right now at school (he's in machining like me). we'll see how it turns out and i'll give ya some pics

get to it gopher. tell your teacher there is money to be made. maybe he should start making this stuff in his spare time and sell it to us. I for one would like to try a prototype if he is willing to make it and send it to me (i'll even pay the shipping) :).

my friend is in drafting too, so he can draw up all this stuff and put it on CAD and all that crap. he already drew up a trigger, it looks like an ir3 trigger but is made for an lcd, it wont have anymore functions than the regular lcd trigger but it just looks cool haha.

see this is why i like this forum....on pbn or pbc i would be getting flamed already just cause i have an idea.
