i have a a4...and am wondering if a max flo, 68/4500, and i was wondering if i would be able to run it on my 4, considering the reg on the max flo only goes up to300 psi max (so wont be to sonsistent at id say 275-300 psi)
???????
thanks

Sounds like you have the Low-Pressure model of Max-Flo. All you need to do is call up SP and order the "mid spring" from the High-Pressure kit. Then you'll be able to go from 300-600+ no problem.

in my experience, using a max-flo on an A4 isn't fine, I used to have a low pressure max-flo on mine and even with it turned all the way up and my mini reg completely open it still had really bad shootdown

Keep your output at least 100psi above the Reg pressure, any closer they will be fighting eachother, and air going the opposite way through the reg isnt good for it...it causes shootdown

If you single regulate the marker, then you can go with 300psi. However if you run it into the mini-reg that output pressure isn't going to be high enough. A good rule of thumb I've found is actually run closer to 200psi into the marker over the operating pressure of the marker. Sometimes 100psi isn't enough, though each marker responses differently to adjustable air systems.
If you can get your Max-Flo up to 300psi then you more than likely don't have the LP system that is found with SP markers. I believe the "Shocker" Max-Flo was maxed out at 250psi and couldn't be converted with springs. Otherwise, as suggested by another member, get the mid-spring.
