I currently have a Karnivor but after seeings the 05 speed i fell in love and gasmed. So i was just woundering if you people could help me out.
First off what kind of upgrades do you guys recommend or is this thing pretty set out of the box. Also is the stock barrel any good on this or should i get a knew barrel? Does it come ready to go straight out of the box or do i need to buy other stuff? I know nothing about angels so if you have any other info for me please let me know. Hopefully next post i make it will be about my new hot ass angel. Thanks guys.

Unlike a cocker, an Angel comes out of the box ready to rock. Just slap on an ASA, tank, and hopper, and you're good to go.

The stock barrel is actually a really good barrel, but you can upgrade it to (insert holy wars over barrel type here) if you wish. Getting an LP-output tank is generally a better use of your time, though.

not to take your thread or anything but where can i get an ASA? What would i need to get if i had a crossfire 68/4500 tank?

Any ASA will work; your local field is a great source for this type of choice, since you can take the ASA down off of the shelf and see how it looks and where it positions your tank.

I also have a Cocker right now, and I was gonna upgrade from an eblade to eblade2 when that came out, but I've wanted an angel since the A4, and now that the 05 speed is released, it's just too cool looking to not get one. Are angels reliable guns? I'm always having to mess with my cocker, which isn't a huge problem since I know how to work on them, but the angels are totally unknown to me. Is it stuff I can pick up easy, or will I have to take it in somewhere? I wanna know if they're a pretty trouble free gun outside of normal maintenance. Also, I'm sure this is a dumb question, but can you re-build the reg on it? I read it's non-removable, which doesnt' bother me if it's a good reg., but I wanna make sure I can take it apart and lube it up like I do with my cocker. Total noob questions, I know, but I know jack about angels other than they look cool and shoot fast. ;)

Angels are very low maintenance and rip outta the box. you can take it to a master tech and he'll tweak it really nice for you and then you never have to mess with it again. just clean it and your golden.

Do you think I'd be better off going with the 05 speed, or the A4 since they are both about the same price now?

Angels are very, very easy to maintain.

Every 4-5 cases: put a few drops of Love Juice oil (a bottle comes with the gun) in the flash tank.
Every 20-25 cases: hand the gun to a tech for a new exhaust valve, grease service, and general tune-up (<$50; Ken @ PerformanceAngel.com charges $40).
That's it. Really. Just wipe it down when you get home if you want to keep your gun looking pretty. All done.

Oh, and yes, the reg is both rebuildable and replaceable; it's just that you need a "cartridge-style" reg, and only WDP makes one at the moment.

Excellent choice on the Angel, my friend. Welcome to the family of Angel owners.

In my opinion, I would definately take the 05 speed over the A4. the speed has the angel eyes and thats what makes all the difference. you will never chop a ball with the speed. the A4 has the lcd screen and the modes but that is more of a luxury, the eyes to me are a necessity. Just my opinion but i'm sure other will agree.

Just so ya know though, paintballgateway technically has the A4 for $700ish, because it comes with a free $190 tank.
