There are several new features, most notably in the board (9v operated), magnetic trigger and redesign mini-reg and flash tank.

It states in the manual that it is a 31 bps board just like the fly. btw the cps and bps are just old news now that every gun can shoot as fast as the loader will feed it. So IMO its a mute point. And the o5 Speed is the best gun that WDP have ever put out!

Qloader is still capable of 100bps... Watch the vid hole clip gone in 1 second.
But its ugly, so I'll take a halo.

I vote 05 speed, just for raw power and performance for a darn good price.

The 05 Speed looks to be 25 psi lower operating pressure. This is stright from the manual where it states that it runs at 150 psi with the "included" (which it isnt!!) volumizer.

the only major difference is the Speed 05 costs about 700 cheaper than the FLY. WDP's way of making people buy the Speed 05. P8ntballer247 is right when he says board and milling. The FLY has its LCD board and the Speed 05 has the LED board. Milling on all guns is different. but if you compare both videos of the FLY and Speed, not much different. Getting your regular speed retroed into a fly, is putting the eye and changing the board. Boards do not effect shooting. It is only style. So shooting and performance wise, Speed 05 = FLY.

..............go home........OMG.....
the speed 05 costs 1000, the fly costs 1300.
They are basically the same, but the fly has a LCD (WAY BETTER THAN LIGHTS!) and way better milling.
This is what i predicted people....the speed and the fly will be mixed up, and the resale value will drop....
my vote still goes to the Fly

i go with the fly also..for these reasons>lcd and milling< true, the speed does cost less, because of the lcd, but the cost doesnt go that down just because a gun doesnt have a lcd, but wdp is trying to get more looks on there markers..but i still go with the fly..cause i like it more

I honestly would go with my Fly'd Dark IR3 =)...the 05 Speed has a little light that blinks every time you pull the trigger, wich to me seems really nifty :)...then again im fasinated with blinking objects :disappear

Is there or will there be an LCD for the speed 05? I like the LCD better then LED's but like the speed 05's price. Also the fly has a battery in the left part of the gun correct? How come the speed 05 went to a 9v?
Thanks,
Kyle

then you pay 300 for milling and an LCD... two guns that shoot the same and look different.

I gave up my LCD on my A4 to put a Pred board in and thought I would miss it. Now I am so glad I got rid of it. I like the switch on and go aspect of the board and that's one of the reasons I bought a 05 Speed (as did two of my friends). After you tinker around for a while, the LCD is pretty much useless and is just another thing that can go wrong. I also like the fact they finally ditched the rechargable battery. I can't tell you how many times I've left my A4 and iR3 on and got to the field only to be f'd. The 9v is great.
I think for serious players who don't care much about looks - the 05 is the right choice. If you are into the milling and enjoy the LCD features and can remember to recharge the gun every so often - Fly. All personal preference.
But if they were the same cost - I'd still go with the 05 Speed just because of the flip on and fire (no holding down the damn red button) and the 9v.

The 05 speed has the exact same internals except for the mini-reg and the battery.
I think the 9v battery is a significant improvement over the rechargeable.
The reason the 05 is cheaper than the fly is the price difference of the battery and led to lcd screen.
Also they had to make it a competitive price with the vision shocker.
Apparently they were loosing a lot of market share to Smart Parts because of the price of the shocker.
