I picked one up at the Campaign Cup on Saturday, one minute it was sitting there on the shelf, next minute it was shooting fools on the Spyder field !
The speed of this thing is insane, and the added bonus that I can use three fingers to fan the trigger was specially nice !
I'll post a piccy soon, but I gotta say this marker is damn awesome (just wish I had purchased it on Friday!!)

I am very sure that the grip frame can be fitted on. As for the new reg/grip, I am not quite certain as to how it it mounted. It's very clean, no outside screw holes, so I'm assuming it's a new locking mechanism holding it on.

i've seen a pic of the reg or something taken a part. Look at the bottom of the forgrip. You see that little circle part right above the chrome part? It's black and hard to make out but it's there. I think that screws out some how and the reg drops out from there.

a sleak smooth gun is way better looking then some chopped up milled out piece. plus who wants to spend an hour after every time you play cleaning out all the little grooves and what not. plus you would have to add metal to mill from, keep it smooth and flowing i say. and from the looks of all the new gun designs it seems most gun manufacturers feel the same way.

It's very close if not the same... I know that they probably use different grades of alluminum and in turn would result in different shades of anno. The difference is not notable in person... I think the pic was deceiving

It's hard to say which is the best among them; certainly, the Speed 05 is winning the price war by a large margin, but the Force Fly is the best-looking and has performance and durability upgrades that none of the others have.

Assuming that your fastest ball is going 300 fps and your slowest ball is going 270 fps, it would take the fastest ball 100ft to catch up to the slowest ball. Given that the gun was pointed in the exact same spot, and the ball had the exact same aerodynamic properties, no windage, etc. the two could in theory collide.
Here's the problem, this is a 10 percent difference in speed, which is a HUGE problem if you just dropped a grand on a marker. Secondly, nothing would happen if the two collided, it would be almost exactly the same force as if you drop one paintball on top of the other from 3 feet above.
And the difference is inversely proportional. If you cut the speed variance in half, the distance to collision is doubled. So at 285 and 300 your paint collides at 200 feet. And you've got bigger problems than colliding balls at 200 feet. Unless you have your marker in a vise, indoors, with perfect paint you won't hit the same spot twice from 200 feet with 2 consecutive balls.
Now that I've proven that I'm a complete dork, I'll say that I'm picking up my speed 05 (silver) next week. I'm opting for a dynaflow LP first stage reg, so hopefully my paint will be flying at all the same speed. I'll put some pics up when I get it. :niener:

Anyway, there are a couple problems with your theories.

The back ball is "drafting" the front ball, pulling the two closer together.
The paintball accelerates down the barrel, which means that, if you get off another shot while the first is still in the barrel, you are compressing air within the barrel, between the paintballs, which is going to result in some truly bizarre behavior.

The one that I haven't gotten past, though, is your very valid point that an object travelling at 280 fps hitting another travelling at 270 fps (for instance), is barely a hit at all. Hmm. Best I've been able to come up with so far is the compression-decompression experienced by a paintball being fired while another is ahead of it in the barrel is somehow causing the ball to break in midair.

For 159 dollars I can get a brand new one from http://www.888paintball.com that's without the tank. If you watch ebay, you can find them pretty cheap, I saw one not sell for 125$ because no bid on it.

I was thinking of the AGD Flatline reg, but it's not really built for low pressure. If I was running a mag at 1000 psi, that would be my choice. but the centerflag looks just as nice, almost as light and is a lot better for LP, not to mention a hundred dollars cheaper

I'm just now getting my first Speed 05 in on Friday; I ordered it on the Monday following their release (don't bother calling; it's long-since sold). The two that I ordered a few days ago probably won't arrive for two weeks. This is a very hot gun.

The MT's might have some in stock, or have an order coming in soon; especially if you're flexible on color, why not call them up and ask?

A word of caution to whoever it was that was looking at putting a dynaflow on their speed. I used to use a dynaflow on my A4 and because of the way the dynaflow works I ran into some problems. A dynaflow is designed so that as the tank empties the output pressure will creep up. This, according to the tech I talked to, will help the recharge rate stay consistent as the pressure drops. Unfortunately, it means that on my A4 as the pressure from the tank climbed the pressure coming out of the minireg also climbed. I would chrono at 285 with a full tank and by the end of some games I would get hit with a hot gun shooting around 315 or so. I've heard some say they've used a dynaflow successfully on an angel but I was never able to get it to work without creeping. Just so you know.

Not a lot of people have Speed 05 pictures yet. Here are a few I did last night just to see diffrent anos of it. Just basic fades. If any one has a request to see it diffrent just say. I read somewhere that its not good to get an angel anodized. Like it will mess up the gun. Were they just joking?

Actually the AGD Flatline regs are fully adjustable. I used to own a Bushmaster and I ran that at like 200psi with the Flatline. And it can go even lower than that. So if you get a Flatline you shouldn't have any problems running that on your Speed '05.

If the trigger is too hard, just move it to a different position (i.e., move both vernier wheels in the same direction). The trigger will be softest at the center of its adjustment range, and stiffer as you move it closer to the magnets on either end of the range.

They are just pictures for fun TrashDoG. You can get your gun anod for a price with fades its about $120-230 and the price just goes up from there. The only colors right now for the Speed 05 are Black, Blue, Red, and Graphite.

ShootOut: I am having problems making the chrome look real right now I will keep working on it and see if I can get it to work.
