if u need cash for other stuff then definately the 05 speed. you'll get the same performance as the fly with out all the unnecessary features.

It wasn't a paragraph it was one long runon sentence... :P

I am in the exact same boat as you andyspeed and that 995 for a VERY solid performing gun is very nice! I am so afraid I am going to blow my wad on this gun, and then see the MT's come out with some badass gun though, I want a gun now but I kinda don't want to be hitting my head later

Maybe if I am super nice to ken he might give me some hints :fanboy:

first marker? hell no. no angel should be a first marker. to many things on it you wouldnt understand. go for a 98 or a spyder

Aye, I would not recoment an Angel for your first marker! What if you don't even like Paintball (god forbid). But playing with a gun like a Tippmann or a Spyder lets you focus on learning plays and techniek rather than hosing.

MT guns have the special valves and very nice milling allong with quality control a step above the other markers (not that Angels don't already!) and of course the Warrenty. I know I am missing something... :madd:

Dont get a spyder or 98.... Id reccomend the speed. I mean who the hell wants to start with a crap gun.. And even some pros ive met reccomend u get a nice gun anyways. And the speed should be good because then you would have some money left to buy N2 Tank And A REALLY fast hopper(youll need it)

Since you've been renting for a whiel, a good gun isnt a bad idea, but just know its not going to be maintanence free...

Thats exaxtily what im wooried about...maintainence. If something happens and i dont know what to do then i try to fix it and the... i might break it. I dont want that to happen but isnt possible that i could learn even though this is my first marker?

If you've been renting for a while, it's not a bad thing at all for you to move straight from that to an Angel. It will save you from acquiring bad habits that you get from mechanical guns, or even sear-trippers.

Maintenance on the modern Angel is easier than on any other marker on the market today. For the non-technical, here's a rundown:
Every 5 cases: Drop a few drops of Love Juice oil into the flash tank (the gun comes with a free bottle in the box).
Every 20-25 cases: Hand the gun to a tech and ask for a tune-up, grease service, and a new exhaust valve stem. It shouldn't cost more than $50, tops. (Ken @ PerformanceAngel charges $40.)
Obviously, as with any other gorgeous piece of technology, you also want to keep it clean and looking pretty, so be sure and clean your Angel with a paper towel or soft cloth after every weekend. Again, not that you have to, but it's a good idea.

Finally, if your worst-case scenario happens and you "break it", remember to buy from somewhere that can give you good suport. If your local field is really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Angels, go with them, because they're your first line of defense; otherwise, or if you really want the absolute best of everything in the WDP/Angel world, do what many of us do--go to a Master Tech for your gun and accessories.

The Master Techs know the Angel to a degree that the rest of us can only hope to one day reach. Their setup for new guns is flawless, their troubleshooting on older guns is flawless, they have a direct line to WDP's factory floor and WDP's in-house tech, and they're really nice guys, to boot. The only reason I'm not saying to buy from them regardless of the situation at your local field is because, if I did, my local field (not to mention the accountant for AngelFAQ.com) would shoot me. ;)

At any rate, if you decide to join the ranks of the Angel Owners, know that we'll be here, waiting, ready to help you out with the world's fastest, greatest, best-looking, and easiest-to-maintain marker.

Happy muppet hunting,

I second that  I finally sold one of my beauties, hopefully I can wait for the new A5's and not the Speed 05. Not that i'm saying that it isnt's junk, but I like the extra features especially if the MT's come out with their own versions as well. I'd definitely grab an MT version over other versions for it's warranty alone. But for the money, you can't beat the Speed 05 price and performance. You can quote me on that :biggthump And as far as maintance, every 4-5 cases of paint, drop 3 drops in the macroline and dryfire several times. And every 20 or so cases of paint grease up the hammer and lpr. If there is anything else make sure you ask the shop you bought it from for detailed help because you just bought a $1000 gun, they should give you some good service. :doc:

Oh and before I forget it's my birthday friday September 17, so if anyone would be so kind, they could buy me a Speed 05. pm me.
Just kiddin'
:blasting: :watchout:

:sshh: it really is my B-day though... :sshh:

I'll buy you a Speed 05, in return for a small donation (a little over $1k will do nicely) to my favorite charity ("Me, Inc.").

listen to me. you have learn with a lesser marker to learn how to get past imperfections. if you get a speed you wont even know what all the settings are like dwell and stuff. get the e-mag or a spyder or bko.

Or you could, y'know, not have the imperfections in the first place, and just get an Angel. That way you don't pick up bad habits, like a hard touch on the trigger to avoid short-stroking a mech. cocker.

Why would you force him to get something he doesn't want that's going to hurt both his current power on the field and his future level of ability?
