When I was looking through the manuel, and I noticed that there is NO Intellifeed Port on it.

That kind of sucks seeing as how with the new Trigger System, it will be VERY easy to outshoot any Halo B....

lol hurry up and figure this out guys is that gunna bea really bad thing? should I get a 4 over this? (the 4 is $950 and it comes with a free $220 68/45 tank, brand new, or should i get the 05 speed for $950?)

It may be reprogrammable, but there is no plug for it.

There is only EYS, SOL, and SWITCH.

a halo with a victory board can do 35 bps,are you trying to say you can outshoot that

what does intellifeed do?

intellifeed is a wire that plugs into your angel and connects to your hopper/loader.if you pull the trigger more than 2 bps ish it actervates the loader.the loader does not need batterys as it takes the power directly from the angel battery.all in all it's a good idea but a pain in the ass to set up as you have to get the angel body drilled(if not already done so) and the loader converted.
i have my lcd set up as intell, but to be honest theres no more benifet than using a normal loader

A Halo with Victory Board will not feed 35 bps, regardless of what the advertising says. Similarly, a Z-board'd Egg feeds 17-19 bps, not 22.

/me twitches uncomfortably.

I suppose you could run it off of the SOL wire, so long as you're using a relay that takes practically zero current to trip so it wouldn't slow the solenoid down.... But, ewwww!

very very true.

and that crap about the Revy feeding 12-15 is even worse, the Revy with Xboard feeds bursts of 10bps, then drops down to like 7bps, so its an inconsistant feed of 7-10bps...

they always advertise like 3-5 more fps than it can do.

isnt there a way to get a computer geek to mess with the engine to get crazy performance out of it? wait that would eat up batterys and over heat it nevermind

Why would you want to (racist comment)-rig a beautiful Marker? I know you didn't want to do that, I was just making a point...

I would much rather use a Plug then Soldering and Re-Solder wires and whatnot...

Don't be stupid side stepping what you mean there are other ways to get your point across. Think next time. Hep

ok have any of you guys tryed hookin a 9 volt up to your halo?!?!??! doesnt work very good.. somtimes not even at all... WELL look at it this way... the MARKER now runs on a 9 volt.... and if you had a intellihalo hooked up.. your battery would die within seconds of rippin her... so im thinkin thats why there is no port :lightbulb its all about voltage BABY!!!

How come there is no hopper research going on out there. Why do we have to be stuck between the Halo and Egg, they both work but both have drawbacks as well

Who needs to shoot any faster than 15 bps? You know how many inches are between each ball? haha Too fast and too little space to swipe your hand. But I have to admit... sometimes rippin' the hell out of your gun kicks when you have a grudge.

An Intellifeed Halo (or an iEgg, for that matter) doesn't run off of the gun's battery. All the gun's battery is used to do is to trip a relay.

224 inches between each ball once they're in midair (assuming 280 fps velocity and ignoring air resistance, and I cheated by bumping it up to 16 bps).

Assuming there are 16 balls in the air, and the front one was travelling at 280 fps for the entirety of its journey (of course it wasn't, but that's not the point; early on, it would be travelling very close to that speed), there would be fifteen intervals of 18.6 feet, one between each set of two adjacent balls, stretched out over 280 feet of space.

That is to say, if you are shooting your paintball marker on the surface of the moon, and were chrono'd at 280 fps (ignore the physics of paintballs exploding and boiling in the near-vacuum and so forth), there would be 18.6 feet between each ball.

Now, realistically? The space between each ball will degrade as the flight of the balls themselves--namely, one half of a polynomial curve, trending downward.

Sounds reasonable and it is. If you do 280 ft/s x 12in. because you want to convert it speed to inches, divide it by 15. Which will give you 224 inches. Back to feet, divide it by 12. Then you got 18.6 ft/s. Yet these balls are traveling 190.91 mi/hr @ 280 ft/s. If a person were running perpedicular to where you fire, and they were sprinting a high of 20 mi/hr. Tis impossible to not hit him. That is, if you are an idiot and don't fire infront of here he runs to, he'll make it to his bunker. I guess if you want to light up the guy badly shoot around 20 bps. But if you're sponsered and not limited to the amount of paint you can have. :) Sure...

after doing my own little math I got 17.5 feet which still seems pretty far to me :S

pbloser

haha How'd you do your math? If you're shootin' 20 bps each ball will only be 4 inches closer.

Jouster

That's if you do 280/16 for 16bps. What you want to do is 280/15. Imagine if you were shooting one ball every 1/3 of a second (3 bps); each ball would be 140 feet apart (280/2 = 140), because one is just exiting the barrel, one is 280 feet downfield, and one is in the middle. Thus, you have to subtracy one from bps to get the number by which you must divide fps.

Of course, as I said above, this is all blatantly wrong, since no paintball can possibly travel 280 feet unless it's falling off a cliff, but that's not the point....

Hey, my revvy goes 14, ive tested it, i put my cap on at 14 and i held it there for quite a while, almost a whole hopper, it never skipped, some go faster than others i think. because my other friends, it sucks raw eggs, goes about 2~2 1/2.i need a halo though. but the victory board, ahev also tested this with a force fly, it goes super fast, it had more bursts than i thought it would, but itll hit pretty much the rate of the gun, easily. i was going 26 with bounce settings.

TrashDoG
09-14-2004, 07:19 PM
Im sorry but it defiantly cannot go 14 and sure as HELL cant go 26.

As to why people always want a higher rate of fire.

1) Ego. ;)

2) The math that 'most' of the people did above was accurate, you're looking at 15-20 feet between each ball traveling in your rope of paint. In a perfect world, firing perfectly straight each shot, you'll hit the guy every time.

However, it's not a perfect world. Any ball can always be a 'flier' going way off to one side or another. Bounces happen. Tagging a guy across the field on the break once is not very likely to get you an elimination. Put 2-3 on him? Much better chance for a break and an elimination.

There are things that can go wrong, and for those things, we have Angels that throw EVEN MORE paint.

say you wanted to drop like 300 bux (or whateve it would cost) could you drop in a board from a fly4 and just get new grips?

Assuming it'd fit (I dunno if it would), you'd need a new battery, too. On top of that, there'd be no hole for the charger, and you'd be short three buttons on the back.

In other words, it's not a very realistic option.
