:pissed: I was trying to change my LPR settings this afternoon and the end-cap on the land hand side WOULD NOT COME OUT. I tried unscrewing and then I felt the key twist around and the end-cap not move! It stripped! How can I fix this. I use a large volumizer on the other side so I could use superglue (LOL) and put the key in, dry, and then try to take the end-cap off and use the back-up end-cap. Or I can send it to a warrenty center since it's still under warrenty. I'm not sure what to do, but I have to run high pressure this weekend because of it!

Are you using metric, ball-headed Allen keys? Are you attempting this with the gun fully degassed? Those aren't easy to strip if both of those conditions are true.

I know, not answering your question directly, but it might give you an idea on how to get the cap off.

I used the key that came with the Angel 4 (Biggest Key, too tired to remember the size). I also thought I didn't degass it enough, but I took the tank out, shot 7 times and no air came out. I then took the volumizer out and there was no air. The hole that was shaped as an octagon is now a almost perfect circle.

Probably more of a hexagon, really.

Why did you keep forcing the key once the endcap wasn't turning?

At any rate, your best bet may be to get a nice big flat-blade screwdriver and (CAREFULLY!) dremel a slot for it into the endcap. If you're not too keen on doing that, you can always use your superglue trick, but, depending on how good your superglue is, that might mean the loss of a favorite Allen key. ;)

LOL... I have 3 keys the exact same size. I also thought about the flathead driver. Do you think it's warrentied for that type of thing?

Heck no. But, technically, the warranty doesn't cover it as it stands, anyway; it's certainly not a factory defect. If you want it fixed by someone else, your best bet is to get an MT to take pity on you.

use a damaged screw extractor and/or easy-out and not chance damaging the gun with a dremel and common screw driver. The ones I used are from Snap-on and I've removed seized up detents with this bit and it works like a charm. I will post a pic later for illustration.

Those are good, too. I don't use them because I'm always concerned about impact-type extractors bending or otherwise compromising the threads.
