I cannont BELIEVE this...i knew this was coming....i knew they would come out with another gun with eyes.....but to call it the SPEED...oh no.....this isnt good my friends....

You see, a whole nother generation is coming. The speed is back up top again. keyword: AGAIN. It has reseted itself over, and they are going to try to make A4 fly's and A4's seem outdone by the Speed 05. I just frickin hope the new speed doesnt have the same internals as the Fly/A4...let alone better...that would be a disaster to re-sale value and WDP's popularity...arg.....

ooooh i hope it just fires as fast as the fly...but isnt better....or that would be a HUGE mistake by WDP...

yes it will kill resale value, but if they want the LCD on the regular fly they'll have to pay more, simple as that. the A4 and speed will suffer because of that...but i predict the classifieds section is going to explode here soon.

overall it is a better gun, it's clearing up so many of the problems that previous owners have had, including the worst...price. hell i'm thinking of picking one up myself, just because of the price.

From what I can see its basicly a Fly converted speed...so I meen cool =), im sure you save a few bucks rather than if you bought a new speed, then went out and got it converted for 400$

I agree that this is a budget minded fly just decided to keep the naming convention the same. One thing that is taking some of the price down is the absence of a lcd screen and the use of a 9 volt battery. I did not see how light the gun was but it should be lighter becuase their is no rechargable battery in the gun. I think the gun looks good and the price is right on what I would expect from WDP.

Based on what I have read here and other sites as well, this is what my opinion is, referring to WDP:
The FLY is completely overpriced and they did that for a reason. The reason is this; in making the Speed 05 a similar version to the FLY and marking the price a lot lower, this will attract people to the Speed 05. They tried to do the same thing with the Speed two years ago or so. But guess what! The speed was designed and manufactured/distributed WAY too fast and it had many problems. Still, speed was noted better than the more costly guns like the IR3 at that time. They are trying to do the same thing with the Speed 05. The FLY, being the "best angel," has a competition with the 05 Speed because the Speed 05 is almost the same, and a lot cheaper. Thats WDP's purpose. And its working.

not as good as the Fly? its exactly the same except no LCD and it have the magnet mod all done! its good that they make alot of markers with and without LCD. different milling and color. magnet trigger or leaf spring trigger. rechargable battery or a 9v battery. you just choose what you like!

I could very easily be mistaken, but I am under the impression that it is the same length as an A4 or a Fly. After all, wasn't the A4 also advertised as being ½" shorter than the Speed?

How does the new reg perform compared to the Mini Reg? Is the board programming for the 05' Speed the same as the Fly? Besides the battery and LCD not being there, I'm just trying to see if WDP would actually make a cheaper gun that performs just as well as or better than their Flagship gun.

This is the only difference. I wonder if changing the Speed 05's LED into an LCD would cost much. Yea, FLY looks different, but i dont care about looks. I want the top of the line equippment without spending 1500 + on a FLY.

I mean - when you drop the battery and replace it with a 9 volt - you loose a few grams.
