it was originally a windows media file, and Ken had to Zip it to get it under the limits for AOG. Sorry.

It sort of looks bigger and bulkier. The milling is like the a4 but more smooth. To me it just looks like a fly without a a4 lcd board. Trigger is cool though, will they have this trigger available for other guns. Sort of like a mod you can have added on. I'm tired of new guns, i just wish they would come out with one base gun and let you add things rather then keep coming out with new gun after new gun. I just got a force fly and already it's outdated and it just came out. They will probably come out with another gun in about another 2 months which will be another 05 speed with an lcd board or something like that and they'll raise the price. Anyone else getting tired of the never ending stream of guns coming out? Part of paintball is having the best, but when they keep changing it that is annoying. Cool gun anyway though...

Select one of the flash buttons. It should be the first thing that pops up. I see it. Click on Angel Speed 05 if anything. Anyways, guys, save your money, i don't think this angel is any better then your older angels which are actually probably better cause LCD is way better then light up LED.
Plus who wants a 9volt gun. I realize that it probably makes the gun lighter but I like having a battery that lasts. Please don't bash me for saying this. I love angels and believe in the phrase Angel for life but I don't know why they keep coming out with brand new guns rather then a gun that you can spend money upgrading. I think most people would like that better. Aren't you tired of buying a gun then having to sell it to stay on top. Only my opinion. I love the grip though, I want one now!

That is exactly what I was thinking. That's why I don't think I'll get this one cause I want to see the monster they come out with later next year. I think a smart move for them is start with a base angel 5 fly, yes 5 ( when they come out with it) then come out with a ton of upgrades. That is why cockers make so much money cause they have base cockers and a million upgrades. Plus it makes it really fun. Personally boys I think you should stick with your fly right now and wait till the really really new angel comes out. Plus they are really only cosmetically different. I would like to know if they are coming out with that new trigger for sale though. So that I can retro fit it onto my force fly or joy fly. If anyone knows post.

I won't be giving up my flied A4 for the 05 Speed, but the new Speed does have some nice things to it. I mean after the initial high price of it drops off you will probably be able to pick up one for $900. That is a brand Angel with an eye for under $1000. Not to mention all the new stuff it has. Not bad deal in the end.

Do you guys think they will come out with these new Speed 05 parts for other angel models? Like the trigger and forgrip. If you look at the angel speed 05 they look the same just with different milling or shape to them. Plus I don't see a problem in retro fitting a mag trigger from the speed 05 onto a fly seeing as how the trigger is almost the same design. The only difference is the ball bearing hinge. Can anyone shed any light on if this will happen? Knowing WDP they won't so that we can spend all our money buying more guns.

I think the Joy division fly is sweeter looking. Although the 05 does look freakin' awesome. I think a hybrid, speed 05 mixed with an a4 would be cool, lcd board with 05 led components also. What speculation? Aftermarket 05 Speed triggers/frames? I have absolutely no clue if or when those will be available. Don't bug us lesser techs; go straight to the MT's. :smile: (<-- smiling because he's not going to get woken up at 3 in the morning by people wanting upgrades that may not even exist.)

If the pictures are truthful - it looks like the trigger actually contains the sensor actuator, which means no horrible leaf to deal with!!! That right there makes this a definite buy! wether the fly is a better gun is opinion...but how can this gun be a watered down fly when it has options that the fly doesn't have. the old speed was hardly a watered down ir3, it was a completely different platform. if WDP does release a new gun in 6 months (which is likely) they will probably change the milling and add the lcd screen, and probably add another $400 to the price tag.

First, I wasn't dissing any of you tech's out there. You guys are all the same in my opinion. Awesome guys who really know their stuff about the worlds best marker. Sorry if it came off that way. As far as the speed 05 being the watered down fly I think it is in a way but not completely. It has options that the fly doesn't have and the fly has things the 05 doesn't have. Either way they are both great guns. As a tech said to me, who's name I won't reveal, the speed 05 is the entry level angel. Great in it's own way and for the price it is unbeatable. I love both guns. Functionally the fly has a better lcd board with more options but thats if you want the options. It's all in the eye of the beholder. IMO at least.

Wow, I just watched Owen show the features on the Trigger....

There are more new features on the Trigger than most guns have on the.... whole gun.....


The Trigger no longer touches ANYTHING. I guess you could say that the "Leaf Spring" is now on the Trigger. The Trigger is now FULLY Magnetic with Roller Bearings.

I totally agree with you. The new speed does look and shoot insane but to dump a 1600 force fly isnt the best move. I just picked up a force fly of my own and i couldnt ever imagine being able to outshoot it. and i'm shooting 24 BPS. the BPS on a fly with eyes on is uncapped and only restricted to you hopper feed speed. So,if you are going to invest in something, invest in a hopper that teleports your paint into you gun and pray for turbo charged fingers.

If you read through the manual it says in there that if you use the included volumizer you can drop your pressure down to around 150 psi.

His point was that the old Speed introduced 4.8V batteries, LP operation, a new, lower-voltage solenoid, and a new bolt. The 05 is introducing the use of 9V batteries, a new trigger frame, and an air-optimized, "cartridge" mini-reg.

Semi has always been uncapped at 31 bps. The reason the 31 bps is included is because that is all the angel is capable of. It's the fastest any gun ever made can do. Capped would be capable of 31bps but capped at 25. Hope that helps.

My thoughts exactly. I don't know why people are so nuts about guns that can shoot 25 bps when you cannot achieve those speeds without modes or bounce. Both of which are not allowed in tourney play. Most people even with fast fingers are doing maybe 15 bps at the most. On average.

Honestly. I think that wdp just improved the master tech magnetic modification. the mt's have been reaching easy extreme rates of fire with these magnetic mods for a long time. the 05 speed is such an easy gun to just pick up and literally rip on. unlike SP magnetics, these magnetics work in conjunction with the opto switch, and having said that, with the leaf spring in the trigger, makes for a sick situation,

yes it would reduce costs. both the grip frames, miniregs, and FLY no-rises are all black. That means that WDP only has to anno the bodies in different colors instead of annoing everything else to match the body. Thus reducing anno costs ;)

I'm doing the same thing as you guys. As we all know WDP always tops their last project so I'm just waiting to see what they have for us next. I know it'll kick butt. The Angel 5 should be so cool but I'm afraid of how long it'll take to come out. Do you guys know what harness is most popular among the pros? I've been looking at NXE harnesses and they look to be very widespread. Also, what bore do you think is most paint friendly if you could only have one? .688. or .691? I also need to know what size barrel I should get. I'm planning on buying an ultralite but not sure what size barrel. I heard 16 is good cause it is easy to aim along. Help guys!

musashi one of my teammates has been using as NXE pack for a few weeks and he says its comfortable and well designed. thats the most i know about them.
as for the barrel i use my .687 bore more often then any other size, but its a longbow barrel and allows me to get away with a tighter fit. and 16" seems rather popular with back players because it allows you to better manipulate bunkers.
and from what i hear alot of people agree with trashdog about redz packs, very comfortable.

There is advantage to this: much easier to match accessories such as drops, barrels and hoppers (as they are usually...black).

Yep, the mini-reg mod will work just fine, but is significantly harder to do--for instance, it may require the use of special tools, or the investment of a significant amount of time; I honestly don't know the details at the moment--on the new mini-reg. As always, I heartily recommend moving from an HP tank to an LP tank rather than messing with the regulator.

On the contrary, there are differences (such as the size of gas paths inside the regulator that have been reengineered for better flow), but the fundamental design and operating principles are the same, judging by the manual that has been posted.

All that said, however, I'm told that it is no longer quite so straightforward to rearrange the mini-reg spring stack as it once was; even that, however, is tempered by the fact that I don't know whether the new mini-reg has been designed from the outset to better support both HP- and LP-output tanks. I do know, however, that the manual, as it always has, specifically recommends LP-output tanks, and converting your HP tank reg to an LP reg can often be done for a small fee (Crossfires (http://www.crossfireinc.com[/url) can be swapped for $45, for instance).

It is just as long as the Fly, and is around the same weight. If anything, it will be lighter, but really no noticable difference.

it is lighter than the fly we talked directly to wdp at vegass nppl, as well the 9v puts out about 1000-1200 more shots that was stated directly from one of the mastertechs that was in vegas. as well the area where the battery was before is empty therefore it being lighter. i feel the speed is better overall, simple too... al lyou need is a volumiser and your lowering the pressure even more...

thanks for asking,the range of adjustment is much greater to accomidate high pressure tanks.in saying this it is still recomended that a low pressure reg be used but not required.

Well, I've never been a fan of the opto switch, I much prefer the feel of a microswitch. Also, my biggest pet peeve with angels has always been the battery. With the predator you get a 9 volt which I like a lot better. Considering you get your old board and battery back it ends up being cheaper in the end too. For me the predator ends up being the "better" system, although performance-wise they seem pretty comparable. It's all personal preference.

I've studied both systems pretty carefully and I'm pretty confident in my choice. They each seem to have some advantages the other doesn't have, the predator is just better for me because of what I prefer. I don't know if you can say one is "better" when they both have the same result, namely letting the gun fire as fast as possible with no chops.
