A4 board

I love my ir3 but I want a4 speed and performance, would I just have to buy the a4 board swap it with my ir3 board and bam 30bps? please help and also I hear people say they have speed guts? or a4 guts? could I put a4 or speed internals in my ir3?

You can just drop in the board and it will work. I believe a couple of other people on here have done so.

As for internals...the Ram from the Speed is about the only thing you can get away with using. The Ram from the 4/Fly is shorter than the previous generations.

I swapped the board from an IR3 board (MEM6) to an A4 board (LP V2) and went from 14 bps to 26 bps. I outrun my egg w/ z-board. My internals are all stock.

The a4 board doesnt use a mirco swicth i know that it uses an opto swicth right

Yes, all angels after the IR3 MEM 4 have the opto-switch

ya, i did the swap. works great. i havent changed chargers though, i probably should. if u dont want to do the fly conversion then just put in the a4 board, its 100x better. at least it was for me

how many times have you charged it? i've heard we don't need to change chargers...

well i've heard that if u dont change chargers, it will eventually burn out the board. im not sure if this is true or not. but i've charged mine at least 15 times, no problems.
i will probably invest in a new charger just to be safe though

Yah itll work, but why not just get an A4 board?...they cost the same as far as I know, if not pretty simalar....

The speed board will work if you get the speed screen. You do however lose certain features like the timer.
