I have an iR3 that I find ok since I bought it brand new some time back. Comparing it with the new spaced-out guns, I know it cannot compete but I know it can be set to at least try to catch up.

Can anyone teach me the best setting (everything from dwell, etc.,) and also the setting for the trigger pull etc.?

I'm getting tired of being smothered by the newer guns without even trying to fight back DECENTLY.

Guys (and Gods) I don't have money for any upgrade - not even a $20 delrin trigger so please, none of those stuff that I would have to spend.

I have the iR3 in out-of-the-box set-up. No modifications and adjustments whatsoever.

And also to add, it uses up too much air! With 2500 psi (68 CU nitro duck), I only fire about 600 rounds. Any suggestions on this?

I greatly apppreciate your help.

For optimal air usage you should clean your gun out on a regular basis, and to do this properly sadly you do need an angel tool kit. You can clean most of the gun without one, like the mini reg, but the ram is hard to get out without a tool kit as is the lpr and such, it can be done but its hard and easy to damage parts. As for setup you should have your LPR set to around 95 to 100 psi, ive actually been able to run mine at 80 psi ever since I got it, not sure if that would work for you or not but you can try it out. Your dwell should be around 14, 13 is low and 15 is a bit high but ok. COPS settings ive found with an EGG that a bas of 4 or 5 does the trick, and the sens with a ZBoard EGG ive had it at 9. Trigger pull is all personal preference, you just need to learn to do the trigger job yourself to get the trigger to how you like it. If your having air efficiency problems and the gun hasnt had a gun cleaning since you got it thats more then likely the biggest gas problem you have. I have done a small modification on my valve spring thats lowered my operating pressure to 60 psi, you do need to buy the spring but its not super expensive so its something to consider, I have a thread in the IR3 section on it. I do personally recommend using a volumizer, most people will argue that it does nothing on the ir3, I say it does some and every little bit helps when dealing with air efficiency. These are just recommended upgrades but you dont need them. The only thing I recommend is the angel tool kit and to clean and service your gun on a regular basis, and dont skimp on the grease or oil you use, it can make a huge difference.
